If these boys are banned, then expect the SEC to be pressured to enforce the NCAA's ruling on Chambliss.

LSU will take them to court over it.


This is a genius move by Lane and LSU. Either let court decisions decide policy, or let the NCAA and the conferences decide. But if you honor one court decision, you can't ignore another.





Also: why are they taking action against this now? Why didn't they do anything when the basketball players were returning to school?

This is going to happen, but the ruling will be specific to the players that brought the injunction. No judge is going to sit by and let the SEC threaten the school just to hollow out his ruling. The SEC is basically telling the judge, we make the rules, you don't. The judge already ruled against the NCAA you dont think he will rule against the SEC in exactly the same manner? This is far from over

I would think the only path is arguing that the conference is still making players ineligible by threatening the schools. One would think presidents and such would be smart enough to not leave a paper trail behind that would show that was the plan.

So, and sorry if I missed it, but I have not seen this discussed: the SEC vote was unanimous. So LSU voted for this new SEC rule?? If so, seems LSU will not allow them to play?
