Been happening for 12+ years. I don't see other teams having all their best players leave early, get kicked off team, opting out, etc. Seems like it's been happening every year since Ryan Perrilloux

Because of issues inside that program that aren’t spoken of. No telling..

Maybe LA kids are poorer than most and have more of a need to take care of moms, mawmaw & them

Maybe.

But I doubt there's little socioeconomic difference between the players we sign and those at other SEC schools.

Rashod Bateman
Micah Parsons
Sam Cosmi (today)

Yes, all these players are opting out of disappointing seasons like LSU, but it’s not restricted to just LSU

This.

LSU is renowned for being an NFL talent factory.

Makes me wonder if players come here strictly for that and no actual love for the program/school/etc...

it may seem that way because you are an LSU fan but it actually does not.

I'm ok with NFLSU.

But if that's the paradigm we're gonna play by then we need to get younger players on the field as much as possible.

Name me some Bama, OSU and Clemson players doing this?

I'll hang up and listen.

Meanwhile we can't get average juniors to return and they get stud juniors who will already be 1st round picks to return.

Until we can recruit our own players, we will never be on their level.

Name another team that has lost anywhere near the caliber of players that we have

Those teams are in playoff contention of course guys aren’t opting out

No one sat out the Peach bowl for LSU last year but Bama did have a couple skip the Cap One Bowl

So we are the "Kentucky Basketball" of SEC Football schools. Instead of one and done...we are 2 and done.

Alabama lost Ruggs, Jeudy and Tua.

It just helps to have guy after guy in your roster because they don’t all shine at once.

shite after 2018 Clemson lost their entire defensive line.

Our issue is that everyone peaked at exactly the same time and most of them were draft eligible .

And Alabama brought back Leatherwood, Smith, and Harris... who would have all been high draft picks. And Moses came back too.

Harris would have been a second rounder at best. Leatherwood is not a top 10 pick which he wouldn’t have been lastbyear.

Smith is also trying to play into the first round.

Business decisions. And honestly I would Like some of our guys to make them.

But who left last year that really could have improved their draft stock? Shelvin and Vincent but they both would be playing of it wasn’t for Covid.

I'm not going to look up all the Jrs that have left other programs over time

But last year Bama lost Tua, Juedy, Ruggs, X McKinney, J Willis that's 5 top 40 picks that all had eligibility left. Off the top of my head Ingram, Richardson, Julio, Ridley Cooper Henry Q Williams all left early there are several more

Deshaun Watson left early, Trevor Lawrence will as well. Both Bosa's Chase Young, Okudah, E Elliot all left OSU early. I'm pretty sure all the Ole Miss recent 1st 2nd rounders all left early. UGA has had plenty, S Barkley left early Parsons opted out of Penn St this year, Sewell from Oregon the WR from Minnesota, it happens every where you just don't notice it and outside of a handful of schools most don't have as many pro prospects as LSU so naturally they won't have as many players leave early

We were as well at the beginning of the year but that didn't stop Chase, Vincent, Shelvin and Farrell opting out.
