We as LSU didn’t do anything. The individual players drug their nuts over Sankey. LSU was not a party to that suit, only a bystander that said we would follow court orders.
Which makes their lawsuit against LSU even more silly.

Exactly, the sec and Sankey look real silly to sue us over the actions of the players and their lawyers dragging them. Our position was consistent that we would abide by court orders and also be in contact with the sec.

It feels like they are sitting there, and we can just let this play out with the case now in AL. Assuming they side with the SEC office, no problem. We haven’t played them. If they side with us, we add more depth. It is interesting that this is the hill Stanley is willing to die on, but not the Chambliss situation.
This was always the position we were going to aim for for this week. Lane has said repeatedly he has been in contact with the SEC and will only play them if they get fully cleared. That shows he intends to get them on the roster but will not risk the program over it. When the players said they were looking forward to suiting up for Clemson, the assumption was that they would win the Louisiana case and there would be no federal Alabama case. When you remove the drama and noise, it’s just us going through the process — boring; standard.
The fact that if they had held a vote on Friday, the other schools would have voted to kick us out over the cold gumbo comment is what amazes me. Half of this league is playing NFL players, but we are Texas Tech levels of out of line in their eyes. I would be completely sympathetic to the argument against us if it weren’t for Chambliss and the Minicamp players. As it stands we have been singled out because the league wants to have its cake and eat it too — give the majority a competitive advantage while taking a stand to keep things from escalating further. The SEC deserves a swift kick in the arse because throwing one of your own to the wolves to get a competitive advantage is poor leadership. Until Sankey is gone the SEC can go frick itself

They're clearly and publicly establishing injury. It's not only not a mistake, it's a good tactical move. Expect LK to talk about the fact that this is harmful to the players and the University early and often.
