Drastically changed the outcome of the game, not over, but ended a inning that looked promising for the terps.

Because he was not in the runners lane. He is out. You are out go sit down. Good call.

He ran inside the baseline, good call. There’s a reason the running lane is there

Runner was on the correct side of the line, then moved to the inside of the line when it was being fielded behind him. That’s done on purpose.
I don’t have an issue with the call.

um he’s clearly in fair territory the last few feet.
that’s textbook interference and he’s out.

I see what the rules say, as someone who played baseball from the age of 3 to 22. I think he ran a straight line with one foot on each side of the foul line, which to me is the "runners lane".

Aren’t you not supposed to run in a straight line?

That’s the same idiot that called Jobert for “delay of game” in Arkansas — power hungry moron

I bet you get pegged. That’s top 5 worst call I’ve ever seen

I want to see someone else’s heart ripped out their chest. It’s time to watch some snuff films or something

That’s cool when the ball is in play, the first baseman wanted that ball on the outside of the base. There was nothing the runner could do. The ball was behind him, he couldn’t see anything.

Isn’t the runners lane to the right of the baseline? That’s the area painted that you are supposed to run in . So isn’t it the right call by rule?

Who wants Arkansas to lose

It’s a terrible rule and a complete ump show to call that because he was 3 inches inside the line, especially given he beat the ball to first.

Hopefully this is detrimental to his career and he doesn’t have to come back next year.

Horrible! I worked with the Maryland HCs’ Dad on some exploration projects in Alaska. Very Fine People!

I was watching when it happened. I don’t know the rule. Don’t have a clue actually. But the first baseman clearly jumps in front of the runner at the last minute. Actually took himself out of position to catch the ball with that move. Looked to me like the ball was going to be late and first baseman knew it. He was in correct position inside the bag to make the play had the ball been sooner. Since he recognized it was going to be late, he successfully improvised a collision and it worked. He got the call he was trying to get. Heads up for sure. Don’t know about the call
