In 2021 you choose Kelly over Aranda. Aranda is still too green and Kelly is way too proven to pass him over.

But yes, I truly believe Aranda is going to be a great one

This is likely true. Just wish we had another year or two to judge Aranda. He has the potential to be an absolute star.

Everyone has different routes. Saban was green when he got here. People were up in arms. Aranda is a footballs guys guy.

That didn’t refute what I said. They don’t beat Texas, Florida, or Alabama without LSU’s 2019 offense. The defense became serviceable after the Arkansas game but it wasn’t a defense that could win a national championship on its own or without that high powered offense.

Yeah but the offense has only scored on short fields granted by Aranda’s defense

A win today and Aranda ties Brian Kelly for career wins against top 5 opponents.

This is the dumbest argument. Cherry picking certain games means nothing about his coaching ability unless it’s a pattern like Les clock management.

Dave hasn’t been a HC long enough to have a pattern.

Saban had a lot more head coaching experience.

I love Aranda

I'm pleased with the Kelly hire. I hope Dave has great success.

If he's available the next time LSU needs a head coach then I hope he's considered

I’m not angry Woodward picked Kelly over Aranda. I’m angry.Alleva picked O over Aranda. If Aranda had been the pick, there would have been no LSU coaching search this year.

I said waaay back there, Aranda was a low key coach, and his Family loved Baylor. I think he’s not ready for Bright lights just yet. Great Coach, but BK put up with a high media job at ND and I believe SW understood that. BK is getting all that backdraft from leaving the Blueblood ND and that rat poison is coming out. Saban is hated but is a God to Alabama, I don’t give sht if everyone hates BK , I only hope he wins big and everyone hates him except LSU fans. He can handle this job, Saban was the same way.

Wow! That was fast!

Only time will tell, but can't fault LSU for going with Kelly over Aranda. I would have been happy with Aranda, but still slightly concerned with his lack of experience as HC. Mostly due to him having to hire OCs, but it feels like Kelly has to hit on this as well anyways. So now I am a little torn. Just hard to ignore the lack of experience.
