Poche is hot garbage in my opinion. You never know who is showing up. He is the staff #2

You bring in Walker to go 2-3 innings to seal the Super instead of bullpen against a good hitting MSU team with lots of come-back wins this year.

I couldn't disagree more. You go to the pen hopefully with Hess being available after game one.If game three is necessary I want Walker available. What if we burned Walker in game two and had to play three?

Walker is the best pitcher on the team right now. Loves the pressure and is very focused

Where is this narrative that Lange has not been good recently coming from? Yes he struggled against Tx Southern, but his prior 5 starts his stats were:

--------- IP --- H --- R --- BB ---SO ---ERA---WHIP
Lange: 45.1 -- 38 -- 11 -- 9 - 48-- 2.18 -- 1.04

Walker: 37 -- 33 -- 14 -- 10 -- 26 -- 3.41 -- 1.16

I left out the regionals for both since we all know Lange wasn't great there, I figured it needed to be prior 5 starts other than regionals for both. Lange had fewer runs, fewer walks, way more SOs and only a few more hits allowed while pitching 10.1 more innings. He was on fire to end the season: no ERs, no BBs, and 16 SOs in his last 2 starts before the regional.

On what planet is allowing 6 runs in 5 starts "struggling"?

Edit: I've added the regionals as well so y'all can stfu because as you can see Lange is still ahead in every single category other than hits and that one is close. Added ERA and WHIP which Lange is better in both categories too.

We can go through everyone's stats and take out the ones that hurt our arguments... Well done.

What a stupid way to frame an argument.

Seriously, you should be banned for being unintelligent.

For the record, I agree. BEACAUSE you have a Hess (who is very locked in right now too) why take the risk just in case MSU does win.

Posed as a hypothetical to see if anyone thinks the risk is worth it because Walker has been so in-command lately. I can see that being valid (only with a lead).

Argument: Lange has been great
Note: I left out the start where Lange wasn't great

Hey, I'm just thankful CPM put Hess in for the 9th inning against Rice, instead of Newman. Newman doesn't seem to strike fear in 9th inning batters but he is starting to strike fear in me by walking batters and looking way too shaky to be a bad-arse closer!

The problem with Poche is consistency, where as Walker is the most consistent pitcher we've had since Nola IMO possibly more consistent then even him. Doesn't have the stuff of Lange or Nola but he's got stuff. If Poche comes out and pitches a consistent game then we win. I just think Paul will not change a thing and will want our most consistent guy to pitch the final game if there's a need. Now if we happen to lose with Lange on the mound then I would surely go with Walker to get us to a game 3 but if we win game 1 I think Poche will be there pitching game 2 like he's done all year. It's going to take MS best all around series to pull this off. GT
