That’s the real essence. Don’t blame the rest of the world. Yes or no?

If not, bring him bsck once name cleared. If guilty, bye. Everything else is not relevant. Did Alleva know?

He hasn’t been charged with anything yet, so no, he isn’t guilty.
Now, that could change soon and then we shall see.

It's college basketball, no one is innocent. Either play by the same rules as everyone else or just shut the program down

Our administration admitted that LSU is guilty by suspending WW yesterday. Such dumbasses are FKing and Alleva.

Of course he is. If he wasn't he'd be on the sideline coaching tonight and the whole college basketball world wouldn't be talking about how LSU had to cheat to have a its first successful basketball season since 2009

Wrong question.

Has Will Wade been proven to be guilty?

Any other question is irrelevant...

That's not what happened.

I hate that it happened but the reason it did (at least what was said) was because Wade assured the idiot Alleva and F. King that no new allegations would come out some time back. And then this was dropped.

Is Alleva innocent?

You telling me he doesn’t know we and every team pay players?

You fire Wade. You fire Alleva.

How many successful seasons wouldn’t have happened for Kansas, UK, Duke if they hadn’t been doing it?

This. In college football and basketball you have a system of favoritism in rules enforcement that makes a mockery of competition and keeps popular (in terms of revenue generation) programs perpetually in the title hunt.

Why just accept that your program isn’t favored and should therefore be subject to playing with one arm tied behind its back? Screw that. Either the system lets you play by the same rules, you quit, or you burn it down.

Burn it down.

I am no big fan of Alleva and (especially) Alexander, but this is not necessarily true. It is common in a lot of fields to suspend someone pending an investigation when serious questions or accusations have arisen regarding his or her conduct. Think police officers who are involved in questionable shootings, or teachers who are accused of sexual misconduct. The suspension itself does not imply a conclusion of guilt; it simply signals that the employer is taking the associated charges seriously, and is doing due diligence to investigate.

No one looking at this situation can argue that the accusations here aren't serious and plausible (note that plausible is not the same thing as true or provable). Given that, I'm not sure that saying "move along, nothing to see here..." was really a choice for the LSU administration.

this isn't a court of law.

The tapes are very clear - he made offers to pay players and family.

Got to honest with yourself.

It would have been that simple if Alleva hadn't caved to some public scrutiny and suspended him. Alleva made this a more complex issue by giving Wade a very public show of no confidence.

Wade's statement said there is more to the story, my question at this point is does Alleva know the "more?"

What were the offers? We all want to know. Don't you think that is sort of important? Or are you ok with going around condemning anyone who looks guilty without letting the facts come out first?

As of right now, no.

He should have never been suspended.

This is a dumb fricking thread.
