I was surprised with how well we looked in the batters box against the lefties last night. All year this team has looked very bad against left handed pitching. That changed last night, it seemed like our approach at the plate was great. Garza in particular to me stood out. Every time you looked up, he was in a hitters count. Glad to see him starting to turn things around.

It truly amazes me how LSU baseball can flip a switch when they need to. Not saying we have done it yet, last night was only one game. But over the years, LSU baseball wins a pile of games in the month of May. If we can take this series vs Auburn and win a few games in Hoover, look out.

The next key to the puzzle, is getting Hill and Henry healthy and sharpened up.

No. They won a midweek game(which they should win every one) and one game against Auburn

Describe LSU baseball in 3 sentences. You did it.

I'm guessing the most we see in a weekend is 3-4 innings for these dudes the rest of the way.

We need to score runs when they are in.

Auburn is mediocre at best, throwing a guy who isn’t a normal weekend starter, and we’re at home. This was a game we should win 9 out of 10 times, even in our current state.

The real test to see if we’ve turned a corner will be if we can complete a sweep, which would be our first sweep over even an at least mediocre team all season

If LSU can win 1 of the next 2 from Auburn they will be sitting good for Regional Host especially with 1 win in SEC tx. That would give them 20 Q1 wins

Last night was definitely a glimpse of what this team CAN do. But it’s not like that’s the first time we’ve shown glimpses of being a very very good team. It’s a matter of putting several of those kinds of games together consecutively.

I like the approach at the plate from the hitters last night. They seem to be more patient right now. You didn't see they typical weak hack at the first pitch and they worked the count more on the pitchers. I'm curious to see if they can be consistent for the whole series.
