With this team, I'm not sure they know where the switch is located. I think it's more of just their inconsistent nature.

As I have said all year long, this team can play good enough to beat everyone, and can play bad enough to lose to anyone.

It would not surprise me if tonight we win by 8 runs or lose by 8 runs.

I've given up trying to predict anything... I'm just along for the ride.

I do think some of our younger players are starting to figure it out... which hopefully means we will see more great performances than poor ones.

One of those was a mid-week game though. We were told those don't count so...........

I understand the wait and see attitude, but it's pretty clear that both Garza and Hughes are beginning to find themselves a bit at the plate.

All that does is extend the lineup, take pressure off the core players, and make the pitcher work harder all the way through instead of being able to coast for entire innings at a time.

ETA: Garza started it off with his first single, but Hughes' extended at bat where he fouled off a few pitches with two strikes and kept fighting was the beginning of the downhill slide for their starter last night.

I agree the bats were alive last night, but when they face a really good pitcher, they seem to get psychologically bamboozled. Until they figure out how to hit these great pitchers early and often, the strike out marathons will continue. Let's hope it's not too late.

i'm pretty sure i was standing by one of these eternal pessimists last night down the 1b line. For 2 plus innings this guy shite on every pitch and every at bat. "this guy sucks, that guy sucks, this team is terrible".

Then about 3-4 hits into that 5 consecutive hit streak..... silence.

A lot like the game threads.

They flip it on and off every week. This team has never gotten hot this year...I consider hot being a stretch of 10 games or more

That disease must be spreading, because there were a few down the third base line. I had to tell the guy something when he was literally yelling at Duplantis for missing the fly ball in foul territory while navigating the bullpen. I think some people are just happier when they're miserable.

He was either bayoufightingtiger, the pirate queen, geauxgeismar or geauxruston.

ETA: I went by through the game thread this morning. Amazing how the negas were absent last night. Except for geauxgeismar. He was there until LSU took the lead in the third inning and then he never posted again.

How embarrassing for their pitcher. He choked in shame for the rest of his start.

Yep and I’m not saying we need to win 10 in a row to be hit we need to play well and go 8-2 or better

Maybe my first pitch last night propelled the Tigers to play better! Let's GEAUX!

I wish they would move that shite off the field of play. Whose bright idea was this, anyway?

We win two games against not good teams, and you think we're "hot" now???

Sometimes I think some of you are just desperate to start your own thread, so you sit there and think "what can I post that no one has thought of?" - and that leads to stupid thinking.

Are you saying my statement is incorrect or are you just trying to shite on Hughes' 9 pitch at-bat that had a positive impact on our offense despite not ending with him on base?

Just because you're an expert in the field doesn't mean you have to show us how it's done.
