Getting there. Hadn't ever seen back to back games we had in control and then lose until last week.
At least in modern day LSU games.

Skip just hit the transfer market hard for a lot big bats to cover all that we lost from 2000 so he could ride off into the sunset in Omaha.

Todd Linden was the definition of a hired gun.

That team was the least Skip Bertman-like team of any he had.

Yeah that 2001 team was a bunch of misfit toys

Bunch of guys playing for the names on the back of their jerseys.

It's actually pretty hilarious to pull up a boxscore from that season and go down the lineup.

Is it a collapse if the season is still going? What if they come out of a slump and have a solid post season?

And if I had wheels I’d be a wagon.

2010. Was 32-6 thru 38 games. Fell apart, didn’t even host a regional. Finished 41-22.

So twice in what, 10-11 years as a coach? Not sure that qualifies as a trend.

That was a highly overrated team to begin with.

100% That team beat one team that was worth a damn before Alabama exposed them. It was a good, but not great team regressing to the mean.

This baseball team was the best team in the nation for 12 weeks…against a real tough schedule. Then they completely collapsed to the point where they can’t even beat the worst teams in the league. Now losing on nights when their all world pitcher starts

Went from #1 in the polls with 2 SEC weekends left to Tulane ending Skip Bertman’s career on the road in a super regional after a 1-5 last two weekends

Tulane beat them 4/5 times that year. And LSU was NOT #1 with 2 weekends left.
