Our offense has to become more cutting edge with the athletes they have at LSU

See I disagree. Our Offense isn't outdated. It has pistol looks and spread option looks in it.

The thing about our offense is that it totally doesn't let the best athletes shine.

The 01 Miami offense did just that. Adn so did 04-05 USC. I think we can run that offense, but with a little more run orient to it than pass as LSU can't consistently pull in QBs like southern Cal.

Oh I agree with you we need to get the ball to the best athletes. However, I think using formations and getting people in motion allows QB's to read defenses easier as well as allowing receivers to get free from press coverage and other advantages as well as create mismatches.

It does. But some of the crap we tried last night like lining RR2 up at Tailback was just stupid. Sometimes simplicity and an aggressive attitude/playcall can go a long way over complicated formations. See: Crowton, Gary

since 2005 Miles has had a major problem in playing far too conservatively on offense

During the regular season this is true, but in all previous bowl games Miles opens up the offense. This was the only bowl game that he has not opened up the offense.

id like to know why we completely abandoned J Lee after Nov5. I think the two headed monster offense was working. I wish we had kept that up.

yep. it seemed to work just fine earlier. Lee made teams who stacked the box pay with the deep to intermediate throws when we needed it. nothing fancy but he got it done which in turn helped our power run game. to allow saban to only plan for JJ was absolute SUICIDE game planning in an idiotic fashion.
