Word is the federal judge is likely to essentially reverse the ruling today, which he can do.

I think it’s possible…very seriously…that the SEC member institutions vote to remove LSU after the academic school year.

That’s a real possibility now

They can say they were operating under the TRO prior to new adjusted rules. Honestly, if alabama can play a guy who played in the G-league for 3 years then we should put them on the roster and play them.

Ask Sankey why he didn’t sue Nate Oaks or Alabama etc.

Should the CFP Committee choose to NOT rank LSU, a 10-2 LSU could easily be left out of the cfp. I am not predicting that, but it is a possibility.

I want LSU to 12-0 and just beat the dogshit out of every SEC team on the schedule.

Then let them leave us out of the playoff and prove (again) how much a sham this all is.

Not if we win the conference

Where is this word from?

The federal lawsuit is against LSU, Kiffin, Verge, and Rousse. Their argument is a infringement of their first amendment rights.

I just read where LSU by law has to roster them.

No law can make a school accept a player. That makes no sense what so ever.

Besides the Sankey 15 voting us out of the conference… not really. LSU is added to the lawsuit now. So could get hit with contempt and sanctions if we don’t… at least Wright I would guess. Our hands are tied Sankey.

It says they can’t decide not to roster them based on SEC/Ncaa penalties or retribution

If we say they’re not good enough then that’s fine

Seen this on other boards and heard a couple of national outlets mention the federal court likelihood throughout the day.

If we roster but don’t play them and the SEC wins in federal, can the SEC then void our wins and penalize us?

I don’t think so.

There is absolutely zero chance of that happening.

if you roster them but do not play them does that provide cover until the federal lawsuit can be addressed?

If AG is correct the fed lawsuit will get tossed quickly

What’s the risk?

An appeals court overruling this decision, allowing the SEC to punish LSU retroactively.

I seriously wonder about anyone who believes LSU could be expelled from the league.

Sometimes you have to wonder if being "right" is worth the squeeze. I'm not sure I am comfortable with the risk of having wins stripped due to playing players found ineligible due to the final disposition of the case - assuming the worst case outcome.

College football teams must submit a 105-player roster to the College Athlete Payment System 24 hours before their first game, but limited exceptions allow replacements for injuries, suspensions, withdrawals, and designated student-athletes who do not count against the cap.Key points:All FBS teams must file their rosters with CAPS no later than 24 hours before their season opener.CAPS operates under the oversight of the College Sports Commission.A submitted roster of 105 players remains fixed for the season unless specific exceptions apply.Teams can add players up to the 105-player limit if they did not initially submit a full roster.Injured or ill players, permanently suspended players, and students who fully withdraw from the institution can be replaced on the roster.

Question is does Lane try to continue the pursuit or just say we proved our point and these two guys are not going to make or break this team.

Blatantly use players for a poltical agenda then abandon them? He would never convince another kid he is trustworthy and with their best interest at heart. That would be absolute image suicide. Hell his supporters would turn on him for such scummy behavior
