Saban told him if he signed with Bama that his father would have a job on their staff. Expect surtain Sr to be given some sort of role in the Bama program soon. There were rumors surrounding his visit to Bama and a possible package deal involving surtain jr/Sr with saban. I'm expecting this to happen and to be made public before spring football starts. It all makes sense now. The kid was used as a bargaining chip by his father to progress his coaching career, and saban used it to get him to bama. Just watch.

Surtain jr didnt make the decision to sign with bama on his own Tuesday night, I promise you that much. You have to be an idiot to believe that. He and his father made the decision while on his ov to bama. Saban told him to keep playing LSU and to not tell them he was going to sign with bama bc it would prevent us from going after another corner, like Eddie smith, whom saban wanted as well. This was a deliberate plan by saban and surtain Sr to not only get surtain jr to sign with bama, but to frick over LSU at the same time. I guarantee you this is the case. Why in the world would surtain jr not tell our staff until and hour before he signed his loi to bama? With the respect that he supposedly had for Raymond and our staff, it doesn't make sense that he wouldn't tell them his intentions until the absolute latest possible time. It was a cowardly move and surtain jr is tiger bait now. frick him and his dad. This was a calculated scheme devised by saban to screw us over on signing day and the surtain's were too cowardly to let inform our staff bc they wanted to leave us high and dry without a backup plan. TIGER frickIN BAIT!

Surtain went to Alabama because for the last two years while Bama has played for national championships we have had an ongoing shitshow here.

Man, you are totally oblivious. This was a scheme to hurt LSU by saban and he used the surtains to do it. I have zero respect for them after yesterday. Exactly. He knew we would go after Eddie smith from salmen if we had known about it when the decision was made by surtain. It is very obvious. You see, at least surtain could have come out and said that he didn't have a clear leader anymore after his Bama visit...hell, he didn't even tell our staff privately what was really going on. He kept the narrative that nothing had changed with his recruitment and that LSU was still his leader. Saban told him to play it like nothing was going on and to lie to Raymond and Co to string them along so we wouldn't go after eddie smith bc saban wanted to sign him as well. What a sleazy bunch. Surtain and his son belong with that scumbag in tuscaloosa. We have to kick their arse next year in tiger stadium. It's a must. Beating Bama next year will go a long way in locking down louisiana recruiting. frick bama.

Why is so hard for some to fathom that when it came down to it the kid chose Saban over O? It's not some crazy notion to think he was genuinely torn in his decision after Saban came after him and he weighed his options. The very real possibility of winning at least one natty is a huge feather in Sabans cap in the recruiting game.

And this is what I do not understand. If Smith is good enough for Bama, he should have been offered and signed by LSU way before it ever came to this, ESPECIALLY with CB arguably being the biggest need of this class. Take care of the state FIRST.
