He is struggling at the plate, no doubt, but he has been solid as a rock at SS. You know he is putting in the extra work; he just needs a few hits to reinforce his work/adjustments and gain confidence. His best baseball at the plate is still ahead of him.

IMO, Milam has earned the chance to play through his slump so I don't think we're gonna sit him. Probably just drop him down lower in the order if anything.

If Milam were to get injured, there are some options:

Option 1: Braswell to SS, Reaves to 3B (or perhaps John Pearson vs LHP).
Option 2: Dickinson to SS, Josh Pearson to 2B

FTR, neither is ideal, but neither would be the end of the infield.

Tennessee has a shortstop that hits about 80 points less than Milam and they can’t stop talking about his defense, lol. Milam has more chances than Antigua and has only 3 errors on the season.

The way Milam is playing ss right now he could hit 200 and still save you runs

Remember all the errors Braswell committed last season
He’s way more comfortable at 3b

And bring him in off the bench to close out games? Possible lineup: Curiel - LF Jones - 1B Brown - 3B Dickinson - 2B Frey - DH Pearson - RF Braswell - SS Hernandez - C Stanfield - CF Better offense, yet probably giving up an error per 15 innings at SS.

I think we should try Rizy at first base. He is so tall. Maybe put Cowan at shortstop, because he fields his pitching position well. Let’s shake things up. I like Shores arm strength. He’d probably be good at catcher throwing people out? LOL

Hey genius Brown is left handed. Bats and throws left.
Not a great fit at 3rd base

It wouldn’t be bad idea to give Jones and milam a day off against grambling since they’ve played every game

A day off is a hell of a lot different than sitting them. Sitting implies there is something wrong with their performance and while Milam is in a bit of a slump he’s not “defective”.

Absolutely not… Milams bat will come into play. He’s just in a little slump and will find some consistency. Some of the greatest hitters in major league ho through slumps. SEC pitching is really good this year.

530+ downvotes. I’ve been around here for a while, that might be the biggest number I’ve seen.

You may have started the worst thread in the history of TD.
