Kentucky. No chance Calipari has ever done anything against the rules as a coach

There is a reason no name schools are called "Cinderella" when they make a run in the tournament. The ones that are supposed to be there are the Wicked Stepmothers.

To more directly answer your question I would say no there aren't any sustained elite teams that aren't "cheating." I would say there have been a few that did elite things.. George Mason.. Florida Gulf Coast. Davidson.

My undergrad college didn’t cheat beyond letting all the basketball players be business majors, and we won the National Championship my freshman year. Of course, this was in the NAIA.

it's not about who cheats it's about who gets caught

That would appear to be everyone based on what has been released.

For all the gonzaga people look at their current recruiting class and also look at zach norvell and zach collins offer lists.

People want to believe that just because they are "small" they are clean. How does a kid from chicago (norvell) with offers from Florida state (who outbid us for balsa) and a number of other P5 schools end up in spokane? How does a 7 footer (collins) with offers from all over the country to P5 schools end up there? how does a top 10 center Drew Timme from texas with offers from Arizona (who was tossing out strong arse offers), alabama (where collin sexton got paid) Michigan state, UT, USC illinois TAMU, Baylor end up in spokane washington for free?

There are rules for 'winners' and
There are rules for 'participators'
Schools pick the rules they want to follow.

Trust those doubts. No one is clean. Those days are gone. Too prevalent. Too much money and people want to win

Come on. Does it make a difference if other programs are cheating ? The suspicion is in our back yard. We cannot use that as an excuse for anything. When the NCAA comes to campus they won’t be at all concerned about the blue bloods.

Hummmm...maybe Brigham Young?.. the Mormons might not be elite but their players might be the only ones not flashing money or driving fancy Dodge Chargers or being caught with a gun and marijuana in their car....

Yes it is. It is because it's bullshite when it is common practice. It is not even cheating anymore because so many teams have done it for so long. It literally is just how it is. LSU has been paying players for years, we just sorta sucked while also doing it. Everyone pays players, you still have to have good coaches to coach the players.

AAU gets in bed with shoe companies and it becomes a billion dollar industry. When Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, UNC, etc are good and on tv twice a week, it drives hundreds of millions of dollars for those companies. You don't think kids see that Zion wears PG's shoes (maybe not anymore)? They see that and they buy them. It is of paramount importance for the shoe companies to make sure they're good. They go hand and hand and it's been happening for 2 decades. Giving a school whatever money necessary to get elite recruits and get them into their shoes is always a great investment.

Some of you are so fricking stupid about the "Everybody cheats isn't a good excuse." It's not about just paying a kid money. There are so many people you have to pay to help get a kid. That's why guys like the Amite barber pop up. Y'all are delusional and ignorant to the bigger problem.

I don't know. The people posting on this topic don't know. However, if you cheat, stand up and accept the consequences.

1045 had a former agent on today who said college basketball is as dirty as you can imagine, and they asked him if it was impossible to do it without being dirty. He said impossible, no. But very very very hard.

He said he actually thinks Virginia is legitimately clean.

Creighton is implicated in all of this. Creighton. For all those regarding Gonzaga how do y’all think they became the best program on the west coast for the last decade?

Good coaching their recruiting classes are always average at best. This is the only time their class has been top 5.

Believe it or not, I think the last elite coach that didn’t cheat was Bobby Knight. He had other flaws but I think he ran a clean program.
