Is there a bigger underachiever coach in college baseball more than Paul Mainieri?

This guy inherited the best college baseball program and done nothing with it, except for one NC in forever. Year in and year out, he gets the best talent and nothing to show for.

Time for him to go.

I think you forgot about Smoke Laval, but PM has certainly underachieved from what this program is capable of.

False. Smoke wrecked the program.

If he doesn't turn it around this year, maybe.

I'm not his biggest fan, but it's not as easy as Football and Basketball in terms of winning with the best talent. Baseball is a weird sport in that way. I know "Thats just baseball" is getting old, but it's true.

He was in the finals 2 years ago and made the final 4 just 4 years ago. Last year he got boned (pretty badly) by the eventual champions

I would love to have all new coaches. Blake Dean would be my choice

Please explain why, if you want to get rid of Mainieri so badly, that you want to replace him with one of his former players/assistants? And one that hasn't really accomplished anything to this point in his career?

The difference is O'Sullivan has little to no fanbase support and a shite facility. Anything he wins over there is a Goddamn miracle. This is from a game against USCe a few years ago when they were rolling on their way to winning the NC.

Players win championships, not facilities. And he's in the biggest hotbed of talent in the country. There is pretty much no school in a better position to recruit baseball players than Florida.

Georgia, Texas, UCLA are all close.
