Yeah, Lyn is fine but the "clever" phrases can sometimes come across as forced. But people mostly seem to like them so....

Ben really likes the jargon which makes it work. Also as the guy above said Ben is great bc he doesn't feel the need to show his knowledge every play by talking incessantly like most rubes.
And Grandpa Rollins is corny hilarious.
I turned on Doug Thompson and buzzy while I was driving and was sorta bummed but was quite excited when I found Ben and Lyn. Unfortunately Ben doesn't do many bc of the damn orioles so I try to enjoy it when he does.

Ben is great with Lynn but not with anyone else. Unless he is doing MLB, where he is really good.

One of my favorite things about watching LSU baseball. I wish they could call every LSU baseball game. Love those guys

Ben is the Best, and Lyn as the years go by I start to really want to hear his phrases usually the more we hear that means LSU is winning. But Ben can narrate the game minutes before it happens and does it in a way that Tony La Russa and my grandma can relate and enjoy.

McDonald is great, which is why he also does the Orioles. Insightful with experience to back up his insights.
Rollins is bad by any measure except the ones used by a lot of LSU baseball fans. So he appeals to his audience. I guess there’s something to be said for that. But there are plenty of other announcers who are way better.

Yeah you remember wrong. McDonald was in high school in 85 and 86.
Bo was ruled ineligible in 85 before auburn played LSU.
