Place is the mecca for arse crack in the South. I would rather get dick cancer before ever heading back to Gainesville.

I had a great time in Gainesville in '04. That's all I got.

I've had 2 friends arrested in Gainseville. 1 for standing on the sidewalk, and not the grass by our tailgate. 1 for getting out of the passenger side of a car with a beer. 2 years ago while walking to the stadium, a couple florida fans were harrasing my friend's 6 year old son. He had a fluffy tiger hat on, and the guy asked the 6 year old "hey kid why do you have a pussy on your head." Their fans are classless, and the cops are pieces of shite. frick that place.

Gainesville is one of the most boring of all SEC towns. And their fans are pretty shitty.

Yeah like I was saying, most of the south has your basic levels of trashy. The trash in Florida are just different kind of people. And to be honest, I don't think "southern" when I think Florida. Despite being so low location wise. The state in general just doesn't feel like you're typical southern hospitality states.

Not at all.

I completely agree with that.

Like I said I rather get dick cancer before ever going back. Every fanbase has assholes, but Florida fans they are in the masses and represent a whole new version of a-hole. I have seen a 83 year old lsu lady get pushed down the stairs by a Florida fan in the Swamp and the fricking weak dick cops laughed. I got arrested afterwards .

Nahh. We make a party wherever we go, so I didn't think it was that bad (even when we lost).

I agree with birdman. I have been to every game since October 2004 and my conclusion is that Florida is awful. It might not be as bad since they have sucked lately. They were much milder in 2010. 2006 and 2008 were pretty much 2 of my worst experiences with fans. Granted, we heckled em hard and probably deserved some of it. When UF is juiced up, nobody else on earth compares. I'd say the only thing close I've had was the way we were treated in WVU.

All that said, I recommend you go this year- can't pass up going into the swamp as the favorite. Take advantage of it! Hopefully their fans will still be nervous.

most of their core fans are from Orlando South which represent your typical yankee a-hole from the Northeast. The panhandle gator fans are actually not bad just extremely red and yes wears jorts. Jorts are pretty much a universal attire in Gainesville.

I go every year and it sucks. The first year we really didnt know where to park and it was obviously the wrong place. It was the 34-3 game in one of the early Saban years. 3 young drunks were looking to beat up anything or anyone LSU. And it was my old arse and my wife. It was very dark and a little scary where we were walking at. But luckily they didnt spot us. I wouldnt have been scared in my younger days but they were about 30 years younger and very drunk.

Anyway all in all the cops hate our fans and will try and ticket you or arrest you for drinking in public.

You have to mean 2000 because we had em at home in odd years and beat them in 02 and 04 there. I don't think that was the score that year but definitely can relate with your experience there!

But I will add in 2010 it wasnt so bad. Their expectations were so low they were actually ok. And after the game since it was so close they were actually happy about how well they played. The fake fg play game.

I'm going to Gainesville this year for the first time for a game. I'm pretty low key so I expect no problems...

Had a good time the one time i went... I did get thrown out of a bar for not tipping enough on a round of beers. Still not sure how that went down. I think you just have to make your own party w/in the limits of the law.

I have heard people saying both good and bad. For me, it definitely wasnt worth the long drive. Was not impressed. I would go back if I had a UF friend who could show me what to do, because I found it boring and tame.
