While no one was paying attention the B1G has been sneaking into SEC counrty in high school recruiting & through the portal pulling in serious talent in from the south.

So we say the big 10 is the best conference. This may be true, but take Ohio State out and then what?
I argue that Penn State, and Ole Miss are equals. Maybe I'm wrong but Iowa, Nebraska, illinois etc. would get dog walked in the SEC. Just my thoughts.

I’d love to agree with you but USCe just proved that Illinois is better than we think

Coaching will become irrelevant in this world of NIL. If the boosters can buy the talent even orgeron could win a NC

Sec will continue to be the dominant conference. Nil will make a difference for some schools but don’t think just because we have one team left in the championship series that we are not still dominant and honestly it’s not close when you consider top to bottom. Nil will likely make a difference but some of the leaders in Nil are in the sec.

Yes, other teams are catching up to what SEC has been doing. SEC advantage eroding.

Maybe, but the truth is that the SEC was as bad overall as I have seen in a long time. There was no dominant team out there. Ga wasn't nearly what they have been, nor Bama. LSU is still trying to find itself. Those are 3 of the recent top teams. Tenn was more than likely the benefactor of a weaker SEC. Auburn has been a dumpster, as has Florida for some time now, and OU was way down from their normal self. State was as bad as I've seen them, and Missouri was also a benefactor of a weak schedule. KY was bad, Arkansas average to below average....A&M about the same. Only SC and OM were better than average for them, but that still didn't make them dominant.

I believe that the answer is yes. Clearly. No doubt. However, it’s not clear it will continue that way.

Equilibrium will always happen

It has more to do with transfer portal. Competitive depth is eroding for elite teams.

No, the league is more balanced and doesn’t have a one or two dominant team position. Nobody goes thru the SEC without two losses.

Right, because we all know the Butteyes, Michighetto and Sandusky State weren’t, right?

Let's see what the ratio of NFL products are from the various conferences and then make the decision. The NFL is scattered with amazing players from all over the SEC

Take the 5th best team from any conference and play them against the 5th best SEC team, and on, and on down to the 10th best team in each conference. SEC goes 5-1 at worse.

IMO no. The NIL hasn’t created any parity in the general sense. The NIL and portal has created a Wild West chaos right now and teams each year are scrambling to put together new pieces, every year. But the big market teams will still be the top tier. They will have the best coaches, best facilities, best exposure, best chance to play on Sunday which is the ultimate goal for most. A team like Indiana - while surprised a lot of us - isn’t going to become a powerhouse. Neither will Colorado. Neither will SMU. Good yes, great maybe. Elite, nope.
Last year there were several really good QBs that were “franchise-type” QBs. This year, who is it? Sanders and Ward? No one is putting Milroe or Beck or Howard or Gabriel or Ewers or McCord or Leonard in that elite, Day 1 starter category they did with Penix Daniels JJ Nix or Caleb.
I think some of that comes from players hopping around chasing the bag. Very hard to develop and grow when you reinvent the wheel every season.

Ohio State always had the dogs to win but this just feels like a down year for the SEC.
There were some really talented teams but they dropped weird games.
Ole Miss losing to kentucky.
Bama losing 3 games to teams with 5+ loses.
