This board thinks Yeskie is immune because of their second half run last year. In all reality - no matter how respected yeskie might be - he's in danger as well.
I don't think he should be fired but you can't really argue he's consistently had the same problems. Every year it's the same thing with his pitching problems. He had this exact same problem before he came to LSU too.
The bullpen was also not really reliable outside a couple guys and even Cowan regressed last year until his Arkansas start. Eyan/Anderson really disguised how mediocre our bullpen was because they could throw 6-7 innings easily sometimes more. The difference is our pen emerged with Shores second half which is what we wanted to see.
Second half was good with our run but there's a consistent factor with Yeskie pitchers and every single one has regressed this year except maybe 1. Don't be shocked if Jay tells him to hit the road.

I know he’s well respected but the LSU guys isn’t look like the A&M guys this past weekend
No S&C guy on the planet is going to make zack yorke and Simpson look like Ethan Frey and Jared Jones

Well, if we're being honest, he came from the Astros organization recently.
Take a look at their IL last year and this year
If he brought that plan with him, pay him to condition A&M

Jay was all about him last season, but I notice he talked about completely changing their offseason strength training approach next season in his interview.
if you think chris is going anywhere...you literally dont know anything about him, his program or how jay feels about him.
jay was talking about off season approach to hitting, not S&C

dude stfu you dont know shite about S&C nor the plan he is using.
bunch of fat frick key board warriors who dont know the first thing about S&C getting on here saying stupid shite
if jay let him go, it would be the biggest mistake Jay has made. he isnt letting him go because Jay is a tard. and chris would have no less than a dozen offers within a day from both other SEC programs and MLB programs

of course all athletes, in any sport, should be well conditioned.
But I don't think baseball is a sport where S&C would make a material difference in the on-field performance.
correct only a fricking idiot living in 1988 thinks baseball players should condition in the traditional sense. its a speed and power sport.
and ftr our pitchers do tempo runs. not traditional poles like the 80s but sprints and tempo runs.
most of the people on this board have a bmi of 42 and think they know shite, when they havent seen inside of a gym in 25 years.

One could argue his absence is being felt by the Astros this year.
Either way, as a Cardinals fan, I appreciated the 3 game sweep over the weekend.

I’m sure Jay dictates every aspect of the baseball program. If the S&C coach was told not to work out players during the season, I’m sure that’s what he’s done, even though he may have a different philosophy.
they lift in season and maintain sprints, jumps etc. pitchers also do tempo runs.
they even lift on game days doing potentiation workouts.

That was my interpretation of what he said too. I don't think he was directly talking about S&C.

I would think the "pitching" coach job is in more jeopardy.

yea he wasnt....just this board is full of low iq idiots that think every injury is the fault of S&C....they are supposed to make every fat guy skinny and every skinny guy jacked all while being able to sprint fast AF, jump through the roof and at the same time be able to run a marathon.

This I definitely agree with though I don't think he fires him. I just wouldn't be shocked if he did.

Would seem like the Recruiting/ Portal Coordinator should get time running the bleachers

He probably needs to add a legit hitting coach and a catchers coach. Not that a catchers coach is a thing... but them boys behind the plate need some work.

Unless they turn this around I imagine no job or process is safe in Jay's eyes. Not saying a coaching change will be made but Jay is being as vocal as coach gets about making changes, and Jay's actions are typically more pronounced than his talk.

yea im sure the strength and conditioning coach is in charge of nutrition even though we have a full time nutrition staff at the school.
im sure chris martin is telling the guys.....hey yall need to go have a contest before the game to see who can eat the most pizza
im sure potentiation workouts are all followed up with AYCE pizza before every game too.
how the hell do yall function in everyday life? seriously, why is critical thinking so hard for so many of you?
