McCluster frick cost Ole Missy the game. He runs out of bounds like he was Tom Brady and then Ole piss couldn't convert.

That idiot Nutt running the ball up the middle for 80% of the plays may have cost them the game.

Bama does have an overrated feel to them, but until they lose Ill give them the benefit of the doubt. Regardless of how they win, they win. We won many close games in 03 and 07. Ole Miss is a quality team that just cant come through in the end. They managed to come through against Florida (Best in the East) and nearly managed to beat Ala (Best in the West thus far). Bama and Ole Miss are both quality though. And I dont mind Bama coming to Tiger Town undefeated, how sweet it will be to beat em here.

I wish I had some of this board's confidence. With a house full of Bama fans coming to BR, I am nervous. Saban will get boooooed out of his skull. Then, he will hammer the O until they fold.

Bama's offense is not as GREEEAT as they make it out to be...but it is producing just enough..helped by their D
Their D is good.

Ole Miss is, for once, pretty good. So is Bama. But it seems Arky ran off a pretty good coach whatever his personal issues were.

At this stage, my observation is that when BAMA is focused, no team has given them a fight....great comebacks on 2nd half by a couple of teams, but they certainly look like a team that could "lay the hammer" if they stayed intense for 60 minutes...part of this is youth, maturity, and focus.....unless they lose key players, like their big nose-tackle who went down yesterday, then they'll be tough to beat.

Ole Miss will be very tough to beat, too.

Anyone who says BAMA is over-rated must say the same about us.....we're not that great...lots of holes, lots of youth, and much to improve on....could get there, but better hurry up!!

By the way, until some team in the Big 12 shows me that they can play some defense, then you could add OU, Mizzou, and OSU to that list of "overrated".....Texas has yet to be tested by a good defense.....I'll stick with the tough SEC defensive minded teams until someone shows me that they can beat them...right now, BAMA's that team....and FLorida looks pretty damn good, too!!

They can beat Miss. STate, a team who lost to LA Tech, but allow 24 pts and one dropped pass away from being a 3 pt. game.

Mississippi State didn't have the ball with less than a 14 point deficit in the second half, did they? How could one dropped pass have scored them 11 points?

Hey Ole Miss beat FL, something we could not do and they did it in Gainesville.

Bama is like us in that their schedule hasn't pared them with anyone like LSU yet, but it will and it won't matter when we play them, because if we don't bring our "A" game, we'll get beat.

We can beat them both and will I still believe.

This post isn't about LSU.

Bama is WAY overrated. No. 2? WTF?

The #2 team in the nation doesn't get outscored in the 2nd half of 3 SEC games by 68-16. (FWIW, LSU in 2nd half of SEC games is 68-52)

68-16 = overrated

Alabama's team does not seem to have the talent and athletic ability that some of the other SEC teams have, but obviously they're doing something right. Solid QB and coaching, maybe?

Ole Miss is playing good ball. Nutt is better than most give him credit for. The talent difference will cause problems at times with most SEC teams they play but they can play with anyone in the conference. Bama is for real. Everyone on here knows Saban can coach so that doesn't need to be discussed. The problem for them this year is still depth. As the year goes and injuries mount, it's going to be a challenge for them--just like the Terrance Cody deal. Big blow. Also the second half lapses are 2 fold IMO--1)the depth issue: they run out of steam in the second half 2)maturity issue: hard staying focused for full 60--especially with big lead. Bama can be beaten--by us. By the way, the splash you hear is Tubberville jumping off the bridge....a Bama program that is back is his worst nightmare.

Agree. Conservative 2nd half play calling also contributes.

I just don't think there is a whole lot of separation between any two teams in the SEC this year.

This is truly one year where any team can beat any team.

Totally agree. Including us vs. Fla. I'd love to meet them again. Also, watch Ark. Petrino will have them improving as the year goes. We play them at a really bad time IMO

Exactly. They beat the same team (in the swamp) that beat us by 30 points.

No, they suck arse.

or is Bama that overrated?
.

Do you honestly think that a 7-0 team in the SEC and played a OOC top 10 (yes Clemson fell off the map) is overrated?

Are you looking for some sort of reassurance or something? LSU will have a big challenge with Ole Miss, UGA, Bama...and even Ark and possibly could have a handful with Tulane and Troy. We have yet to play four solid quarters of football. Yes, we have glimpses of greatness...but as the defending NC and a preeminent SEC team, we will get everyone's best shot.
