I’ve read that, but haven’t seen it officially. With the new class coming in, all that experience will be huge. With the right coaches for form them into a cohesive team, LSU should be very good next year. 10-2 or better.

Can't be any worse than last year on Defense so I am not worried at all.

Who is gone other than Cox? Are they counting Curry as that other starter?

Next year will be great. We'll lose a ton after next year, however, we won't be plugging holes with that crappy 2018 class. We will have four years of top 5 classes.

The challenge for 2022 will be the offensive line. QB, WR and RB will still be loaded. And defense will be loaded at every position group. This is why the Oline recruits the last three years have to develop. It's too late to fix 2022 with HS recruits.

I think a lot of people don’t realize how critical returning starters are. It is why A&M was so good this year, they brought everyone back. It’s also why LSU was top 3 in most power rankings in preseason 2019, even without people knowing how much Burrow and the offense was going to change/be so much better.

Between the NFL eligibility of the 2019 roster, the change in coaching staff, the pre-season opt outs, and lack of practice time and rent-a-wins due to covid, 2020 was a perfect storm of awfulness for us. Then throw in the IN-season opt outs, your best defensive player missing a third of the season, and your only QB with program experience going down, and its old testament biblical level attrition. And oh yeah. The horrible coaching on defense was arguably a bigger problem than any of those issues.

The good news? That shite storm is now contributing to what looks to be a perfect storm of team depth the likes of which we have never seen.

Hell, we have THREE QB's on the roster who have each started three or more SEC games. The defense is two and three deep with players who have played significant minutes against an all SEC schedule. Most importantly of all, EVERY single player from last year who played even a single minute with his hand on the ground is returning (Don't make me a liar Dare Rosenthal).

2021 might have a few early growing pains, but do not be surprised if it is really special.

Returning production generally is a good indicator of success rate. LSU had a TON of production coming back from 2018 going into 2019. The 2019 results speak for themselves.

In 2020 LSU had the LEAST amount of production returning. The results also speak for themselves.

Just honestly salivating at the prospect of watching Stingley and Ricks at the outside corner spots...It has the potential to be literally the most talented set of starting corners ever seen at LSU and that is truly something. Barring any unforseen injury stuff, and if they both go into the season 100 percent, then teams will have the hash lines to the sidelines straight up locked down all year long. Two first round picks both on islands taking out the two best wideouts of each and every opponent. Add in the fact that you bring in the top two overall safeties from the incoming class and get Harris back yet again...I know we just witnessed perhaps the worst pass defense seen at LSU in a long time...but it could literally go from last to being the best overall in the college game in a single offseason provided all the guys stay healthy and the coach brought in puts them in the most successful places to showcase their lockdown type of talents
