Are you asking because you heard a rumor? Or are you asking because you think it should be him?

Either way, I have no idea who's getting it.

Hopefully BK got rid of this also during the house cleaning. The numbers mean absolutely nothing if the players wearing them sit out games or entire seasons for personal benefit.

Cam Lewis tweeted at Ward last night saying "Hey 7" or something. I'll try to find and link it.

Brian Kelly will probably shut down this down. It’s a team sport. The #7 thing doesn’t fit that mold. Notre Dame doesn’t even put players names on the back of jerseys.

This could mean something, but there's a chance he just got rid of the 7 'tradition'

I agree to an extent but the 7 adds mystique to the university. You change the circumstances of the number by changing the type of guy in the jersey, not the number itself. As long as guys like P Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, and Fournette are in the league kids are going to wanna wear 7. If they like it then I love it.

I am not sure we should end it. Seems like it became a joke though the past few years.

Seems like he is asking if ward will get 7.

Ward should not get 7. I guess he is the upperclassman in the secondary but he doesn't really make enough plays.

I hope not. 7 means he either

~Quits on the team
~Gets hurt
~Underperforms

That's the tradition of 7.

I hope BK creates his own legacy in terms of traditions. Saban did the white jerseys at home thing amongst others. Les helped create 18 & 7.
