Dom's natural position was free safety, but he preferred to play offense. He was a throwback, skill-wise, to guys like Cannon and Casanova - he could have played virtually any position on the field, except down lineman.

I'm pretty sure if Trindon could play DE, then so could DD.

Remember that SW, MF, and AB will all be seniors next year and Les is prone to play SR's before underclassmen. But this kid does seem to have it.

Its apples and oranges, Miles likes to rotate backs. One guy is not going to get most of the carries like faulk did.

its going to be spread across 2-3 backs. hill has looked good but you don't have enough to compare.

I do like the way he runs. I liked the way ware ran last year (not this year).

Quick CSB related to Faulk....

I had a chance to chat with Todd McClure a few years ago and the conversation turned to Faulk since we both thought at the time he was 2 days away from claiming his 4th SB ring. (It was a party the week of SB 42.)

I said I recall Faulk making one of the best catches I'd ever seen an LSU player make, but no one remembers it because it was near the end of a blowout loss to Florida. McClure interrupted me before I finished and finished describing the play and how he couldn't believe the effort and skill Faulk showed on that play.

Takeaway is that Faulk gave his all no matter the game or situation. Part of what made him great.

Yeah, I'm only 32 but sometimes I feel old up in here bc it's easy to tell how many posters don't remember anything pre-2003.

He is not being overhyped. He has clearly outplayed a very solid group of RB's and has emerged from the pack ahead of Ford

IMO I don't think Ford gets enough carries. He is very strong and faster than anyone we have. I think hes a great back and nobody really talks about him.

Has he ever had a great play? Seriously, I can't think of one time I was ever amazed by Ford. I can name great plays by Ware, Hill, and Hilliard, but not Ford.

Great play?? haha he only gets carries when they want to stretch the field on outside runs jackass and everytime he rips off 8- 10 yds. If he were to get more opportunites maybe we would see some.He has it in him, I watched him make plenty of big plays at Leesville High

But then again so did Justin Vincent in 2003.

Justin Vincent's problem after 2003 was going out every night and drinking in tigerland. Including the night before games.

Hopefully injuries won't sideline him nor will he spend to many nights at Bogies. We were asking the same thing about JV.

I never did see the same in JV. He was smaller and slower than Hill. He had good vision, but all in all, just an average LSU back.
