Hill has done a great job..Right out of Baton Rouge could be a better story.Stay Healthy and no Sophomore slump.Ware I have to say is a helluva back as well...I hate Blue got hurt becasue this would have been his year.We are blessed to have such talent!!!!cheers

He really looks like something special. But then again so did Justin Vincent in 2003.

Thank you!
I't amazing how people overhype players so quickly. Give him more than 6 games to compare him to someone.

He is good , but he is no Faulk. Kevin was special and Tiger nation will always appreciate what he did here.

He is not being overhyped. He has clearly outplayed a very solid group of RB's and has emerged from the pack ahead of Ford, Ware, and Hillard. What a good one two punch we'll have next season when Blue returns.

You are kidding, right? This kid does not hit the hole, sort of dances when he gets to the line and no opening is available. Compare his running style to Ware and you would agree with me that his carries should decreased dramatically

NO.

He's the best since Hilliard was the best since Ware was the best since Ridley was the best since Vincent was the....

Point is, they all plateau after a certain point. Hopefully Hill will break the trend, but I don't think we'll ever have a running back that shines as long as Miles is using his (very successful) 4-5 back per game scheme.

I'm really surprised Hilliard hasn't had a better season... Does anyone have hills stats? Is he near/over 1,000 yds?

Not even close. He's only had like 3 hundred-yard games. Maybe 5-600

Hill is very good, but I haven't seen Faulk or Cecil talent yet. I think what's missing is toughness. Ware is our only back who has that. If Hill could boil over with hate just as he receives each handoff he'd be at that level.

I agree. I think Hill is good but he still has alot to learn. He doesn't hit the holes very hard like Ware IMO. He just kinda finds the hole moves through it slowly and if its not there he does that little dive forward thing. He needs to hit the hole with acceleration and use some toughness with his big body. He has good vision and top speed but hes not nearly as good as Faulk yet IMO.

Dominick Davis
Steven Ridley
Joe Addai
Justin Vincent
Labrandon Toefield
S. Ware

Hester?

yeah he should just close his eyes and try to hit the first defender as hard as he can like Ware. 1.9 yards a carry is better than 6 or 7 yards a carry.

Not really. The one thing he does that stands out is when there is no where to run he just picks a small gap and dives forward for extra couple of yards. That sets him apart from our other backs. He also has break away speed similar to Ford. Not even close to Faulk in terms of making 1st guy miss but he's good.

I think every couple years a player comes in and looks fantastic. He needs to be consistent now and moving forward.

Alley Broussard
Justin Vincent

Those are only 2 examples of guys who looked fantastic.

Dude STFU the only reason he has a high yards per carry is b/c of 3 40 yd runs in 3 diff games. Im not saying hes not good im just saying compared to Faulk not even close. We will see how he pans out in the next few yrs.

he really reminds me of Toefield and Broussard. He seems to have an extra gear over broussard. he just looks polished as a freshman. has great instincts and vision.

btw hilliard has really been punished this year with his fumbilitis. i understand wanting to send a message but damn. would like to see #27 get more carries.

edit: and yes, i know hilliard was knicked as well which kept him out of action too

You can't compare any Running Back in the 2000's to Kevin Faulk.

If you want to compare Hill to someone, check out Joseph Addai, who I think has been the best running back in the last decade of LSU football.

ETA: I take that back, you can compare DD to Faulk. Both did it all, and did it extremely well.
