Is it too early to talk about the matchup with FSU?

Man, the opening game versus FSU is going to be huge.

Jordan Travis killed us in the opening game last year. But we did not have Harold Perkins as a true freshman fully ready for that game. He played but was not fully ready. This time Perkins will be starting and ready. You know FSU is planning around Harold Perkins spying on Jordan Travis. I wonder how they will account for him?

I think Perkins is definitely key this time around. Travis is a really good QB, if you let him be mobile, he can kill you.

I also feel better about the offensive line this time around.

You sound excited to see our backup QB hold FGs.

Yes to all of that. It is not one guy. We lost mostly because of our offense. And our Oline.

Different team next year.

Smith penetrated like all 5 plays he played before he got hurt too

Imagine how much better LSU would've been last year just with Smith playing all season. Would TAMU even be able to run? I don't know. He seems like an impact player himself on defense.

He really threw it well down the stretch last year.

LSU has a chance, but only because FSU also isn’t playing Duquesne

Way too early. Can’t be looking ahead when there’s still a spring game to play.

Don’t want to get caught sleeping and drop that one.

Oh good. They are not getting a zero week practice game.

Not losing our best DT on the first drive would help this year as well

Never too early!

I for one like it, from a fan perspective not a "strategic" one, when we open with not just big games but ones with national implications.

LSU in that first game was a different team that came together later on. This game is going to be different this time around (I know, I know, but really).

After seeing the way we played vs Arkansas and A&M, would you rather have played Fla St the first or last game of the season?
If I remember correctly they were a formidable opponent at the end of the season.
