There's a ton of reasons to be very confident.

-Entire coaching staff isn't brand new anymore. Familiar, settled in, prepared.
-Has had entire offseason to plan and strategize. LSU will be going through camp
visualizing FSU on every rep.
-Jayden a full season in. Showed much progression since week 1 last year. Will be
ready to outshine Travis.
-O-Line will be way better
-"Neutral" site stadium/field will be same as last game they played.
-Special will be better. Impossible not to be.
-Harold Perkins
-Revenge

FSU caught LSU in a very vulnerable spot last season and barely scraped out a W by the skin of their teeth.

LSU will hammer FSU in Orlando. It will be a big statement. Will be a fun night.

Agree on this. I’d lean toward a 10-14 point LSU win. I’ll also add the unproven head coach, Florida State’s lack of prominent recruiting will catch up, and the talent gap is truly immense, despite folks clamoring at a good portal haul. There aren’t any Perkins or Campbell level player on that roster. Two of the top at their positions in their draft class. Verse is certainly a first round talent but there are tiers. State can’t match LSU in coaching or talent. LSU uses this game as a launching pad toward a legitimate playoff push.

The team that escaped against Florida and lowly Oklahoma? If I also recall correctly, they struggled in their last two games against sub .500 opponents with a combined record of 12-14. LSU was a formidable squad to end the season, just as Florida State was, despite their struggles against lesser teams.

Normally it wouldn't be, but with all the changes in college football, we don't know who will be here and not here by then. Go Tigers!!

Starting 11 on D for that first drive will look VERY different than what FSU saw last season. Size, strength, speed, experience and skill level. Perkins will give their QB fits, much like he did to BY in the Bama game. The front 7 will hold up well vs the run and the DBs will lock down their counterparts.

On OFF get the ball out to Nabors, BT and others to make plays. The OL must pass protect and impose their will on FSU to get the running game going. JD will take his shots and make some key plays, especially on 3d down to sustain drives and get points.

Statement game for our Tigers. Make it a big one! Tigers W 31-20

Don’t forget, during that game, we:
- muffed 2 punts
- missed a FG
- missed an XP
- dropped 2 TD passes
… and still only lost by 1 point during the first game of a COMETE overhaul of the football program. . I think LSU will be ok.
