Fair enough. Maybe the eye isn’t officially, but it has become an identifying symbol of the university. It’s on the LSU Louisiana license plate. It’s on countless polos, t-shirts, and hats. It’s on stickers. It’s a logo seen often on television. It’s pretty much everywhere now. There are better logos than the eye for such.

I honestly preferred the purple & gold Louisiana map that was there in 1987-88, or even the block "LSU" during the Dinardo era.
