Ole Miss fans had never been happy losers. I’ve been to LSU football games at Ole Miss dating back to 1994 when I was in college. Their fans were obnoxious and entitled back then; which dumbfounded me because they had never been good or great in my time. The last time I went to an LSU at Ole Miss game was 2011. Of course we destroyed them that year. At the game while cheering for the team, I had a college kid a few rows down challenge me to a fight. He was legit pissed that I was cheering for LSU in their stadium. In closing, F Ole Miss.

It will be like the Roman Colosseum and LSU is the Christians. Although Ole Miss fans think they are not rednecks, they are just rednecks with money. Stay in groups and keep your head on a swivel.

Although I have no doubt any Tiger fan could kick their arse, the local Barney Fife's will throw you in the pokey.

Ole Miss people tend to be more snobby than violent. they are mostly frat/sorority people who never grew up. Their men are soft. Their women are hot but stupid.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Occasionally I’ll come across Ole Miss grads at work and man they are dumb as shite. They have nice inheritances though and will make sure you know about it.

This is why they also scare me…you know not being able to regulate their emotions and think rationally.

When you combine that with alcohol and a glimpse of their future after the first half, I’m afraid things could get out of hand.

Yall need to prepare yourselves.. this will not be some runaway blowout game. For this season only they have a real shot at beating us. With that atmosphere along, the pressure that will be on this lsu staff and team, with Trinidad and Lacy coming back, it’s going to be an absolute war.

I'll start by saying I have never gon to an Ole Miss game at Ole Miss. I'm basing this on work and leisure interactions with other fan bases, and I am probably gonna get hammered for saying this. Of all the fan bases that I have had significant interactions with, Ole Miss fans are the most like LSU fans.

What does that mean? They almost rabidly support their teams, they have a lot of drunks, they are really quick with the snark, and last but not least, if you do not get pissy or petty in a mean way on their home turf, they will be cordial and, at times, even inviting and friendly. They are also a little more likely to want to fight everybody, but just a little more.

They are a little more hesitant to invite you to the party than LSU fans; that is because their culture is a little more closed off to outsiders, but they are a generally hospitable culture at heart, which is odd because my experience with Moo State fans at Tiger Stadium is as bad as it gets though not with the ones I work with (they are too busy hating Ole Miss).

I would also say that this is probably not the year to go to Ole Miss for the first time if you want to get a feel for how it is going there.

I was there in 2003 and the fans were hostile downtown the night before. The cops were definitely not taking the LSU fans side when there were altercations. With that said I don’t remember it being as bad on game day.

Like any situation if you provoke a drunk in enemy territory then be ready for whatever happens next, but it’s best to just walk away and you won’t have anything to worry about.

Hell I am no fighter but 2 of the few fights I have ever been were at Ole Miss games. 1 in Jackson and 1 in Oxford and that was in the 90's

I would say there is a high chance of violence if you attend that game.

I’ve been to plenty of games there and only got what I looked for. I suspect it will be hostile but win and those dogs will have no teeth

Hey man, it’s sounded good for what we have going on here. Maybe I don't remember the facts as vividly as you do. Just trying to keep a guy from potentially getting hit with a piss balloon or spending the night at county.

When LSU hangs 50 on Golding…..there may be violence…..but only that day…. Reality is going to set in on them that day

LSU fans need to show up big time for this game. If we outnumbered too much they’ll steal the buses!

I wouldn't want my personal vehicle with a LA plate anywhere near there that much is for sure.

That's why I'm flying into Memphis and renting a car. I'll get the insurance just in case. But I just plan to smile and laugh at whatever crap they want to talk. Now however I will defend myself and so will the 4 others coming with me.
However aside from being flipped off alot and plenty of F you's coming our way I not all that worried. Worst case is maybe a drink gets dumped on us which only one of us is a hot head in the group. I'm sure there will be extra police for that one.
