Ahh. Thanks. I was still in serious party mode in those days and don't recall that. Thanks for correcting.

But, the question isn't about who is the better coach overall. It's about who did a better job in a given year. It's two seperate things.

That’s what I don’t understand why rob keeps freaking out. It’s about individual years and not the coach overall.

The fact you think the entire metric of this question is to count losses is where you get stupid.

Trust me. Even when Belichick was having losing records at Cleveland, he was one of the best coaches in the NFL.

You think if a coach has 4 losses that means he's a worse coach that year than anyone with less than 4.

This makes you an idiot.

Ok. Then tell us why Saban’s 2004 at LSU was better than miles 2005? This should be an electric factory of a response.

Of course he was. That still doesn't mean he was doing the best job of everyone in the league every year.

Using your logic O was a good head coach at Ole Miss. Not sure that works out.

Of course it could mean that.

If Saban said frick it, and took the job at Vandy next year, do you think the final result would mean he was the 10th to 14th best coach in the SEC?

Les hired Ed, Ensminger, Aranda and Raymond. We've had good coaches before.

It's hard to say because the offense definitely is, but that 2011 defense is still the best. Actually that stretch of 2010-2012 was pretty damn stout.

St I'd say not the best, but others might have a different opinion. I know coaching doesn't really go into a kicker fricking up.

I must say I absolutely detested that 2004 club. It was painful to watch. It really was.

Saban has established what he is at this point. Not really an equal comparison

Yeah. Because coaching 11 years apart with no HCing in between is totally the same...…..
