If you down voted this message you are an idiot and refuse to accept the truth of how bad Les Miles really was.

Miles is just old school. He wants his teams to be physical as hell. That style just got stale and predictable

Jacob Hester the other day on TV talked about how right before he scored the last touchdown against Florida in 2007 he looked over at Tommy Moffit on the sidelines and knew he had to score because Hester knew no team was in better condition than we were. This way during a Les Miles year.

Times change and in college football they change quickly.

Just because Miles had a well conditioned team in 2007 doesn’t mean he didn’t run players into the ground with the same methods in 2016.

Just because LSU and Coach O were on the cutting edge of health management, strength and conditioning in 2019 doesn’t mean they won’t be woefully unprepared in 2028.

Miles used to be a very good coach but wasn’t at the end of his time here. The game had passed him up and he was unwilling to change with it in practically every way possible.

Thank god for Nick Saban, he literally made Miles succeed despite himself. He put the entire culture in place.

I’ll put you in the uncomfortable with positivity and being happy camp.
So much to talk about as far as the present success and the promising future but let’s focus on some negative stuff here.
Miserable folks y’all are.

That 2011 team was insane. We were not only stronger but we were faster than Oregon too.

I’ve always thought that preparing for that hurry up offense is what paved the way for us to have the year we had that year.

And you're 12 years old. Your post provides ample proof of it.

So maybe Miles knew what he was doing after all?
Can't be.

It’s such a strange and foreign feeling. I still haven’t fully processed it.

I really am puzzled why some people focus on the past and Miles’ years when things are as good as can be at the moment. I suppose some people are uncomfortable with positivity and being happy.

Ultimately, this thread is a compliment to Ed Orgeron. He maximized the potential of the players and coaches.

He maximized the potential of Moffit whom in turn, created a beast OLINE.

Les got plenty of respect (17million buyout clause in 2012 after arkansas feigned interest in him). However, facts are still allowed here.

I mean every year afterwards we were outmanned and outmatched. He made a heisman caliber running back run full contact drills two weeks before the season started and pretty much neutered him for the rest of the season.

Sources around the country are saying that Coach O, Tommy Moffit and Jack Marucci are on the absolute cutting edge of all levels of football and sports in general with their current methods.

One of Coach O’s first acts as interim head coach was to cut practice time.

I don’t think it’s up for debate that Miles was driving players into the ground his last couple of seasons.

I’ve never said that Miles was always a bad coach in fact I’m on record in this very thread saying the opposite.

Everyone is on board with saying that the offensive side of the game passed him by but for some reason half of y’all in this thread thinks it is absolutely impossible that the S&C side also passed him by.

They were in great shape in my opinion during The miles era. Just think about how much the defense had to stay on the field. Any other average or below average team (physically) would have been steamrolled staying on the field longer than the offense.
