Is CFB committee signaling 9-3 might be in?

I still believe we can go 10-2.. so this is not a doomer post. Kiffin is great and will improve the team.
But in the case we do go 9-3, tons of people will ask if there’s scenarios where we are in.
Well it seems the committee is slightly giving credence to that with the new 9 game SEC schedule.

Under the right circumstances I believe a 9-3 SEC team can get in, especially if the trend we are seeing now where S. Carolina and Arkansas appear to be the only really bad teams in the conference.
A lot of posters on here will not be able to comprehend a 9-3 team getting in, because it hasn't happened before. They will not be able to comprehend the 9 game conference schedule.

I am quite sure Notre Dame has a built in clause that lets them in even if they lose to Little Sisters of the Poor.

I don't care what they do or what they look at for strength of schedule. What needs to stop is these bids of people like Tulane and James Madison getting in there last year which made for absolutely nonsensical games not even competitive. Thank God I was working and didn't have to watch that s*** that's what needs to happen and I have no problem with Notre Dame as long as they're in the top 12 making it in that's fine with me cuz I know they're a quality team but I'm sorry too. Lane grainy weenies and James Madison. Whatever you are. Y'all had no business being in the playoffs last year. Just taking up space. That's what needs to change

They were 10-2 heading into the SEC champ and lost that game.

I believe 9-3 gets us in with our schedule, but that might be testing the limit. How good will Miss State be down the stretch? Same thing with Auburn?
I believe 10-2 is our most realistic landing spot, but 9-3 might do it as well. Heck, now that the Ole Miss game isn't looming, 11-1 could happen-that one depending on the TE utilization until Green returns.

Vandy needed a miracle to beat a bad NC State team, and beat Austin Peay and Delawarew by 19 and 9 at home, respectively. South Caroline would beat Vanderbilt by 30. Including them in the same breath as Arkansas is assinine.

I still say tiers are needed
You could have a separate playoff for non power conferences
eventually I'm not even sure having conferences anymore is the way to go

The committee just chose not to penalize them for losing the SECCG. The only 9-3 (regular season) team to get in is Clemson. But that was an auto-bid by winning the ACCCG
I think what the committee is basically saying without expressly saying it is that there will be no more JMU's getting in simply because they went 12-1 against a weak schedule

Of course it depends a lot on how other teams in the running have faired. Hence, 9-3 could sneak in. Any team with four losses has no business being in the playoffs. Especially Notre Dame, with their schedule.
