I hated to lose McGlothern. There were some low points last year where it would have been easy to give up on the season but he just played harder. Still, in the long-term insisting that the rules be followed will build a mentally stronger team.

No but man Stingley looked bad against Denver.
I watched the game and he was not “bad” at all. He’s been very physical with WRs and got a couple flags, but otherwise he played well against Sutton. Had 2 PBU and, shockingly, has actually been solid against the run.

I like Stingley, and I think he'll have a very good career in the NFL, but I always posted on here that he was overrated if taken in the top 10. I figured Stingley for about the 20th overall pick. That's still a great player, but it's not Patrick Peterson great.
I think he can take a big jump in performance, though, because I always thought his problems in coverage were a result of obvious technique issues. Stingley always seemed to give up on his backpedal way too soon. He needs to wait until the receiver commits to the inside or outside before turning and running with him.

but he would've been CB1 and a "dude" if he stayed here.
I’m not so sure laughing at their #5 dude being our #1 dude is a win.
He and we will laugh all the way to his ring.

Easily would be lsu's best corner.

From what I have seen he has played well

He pushed himself out.
This. I don’t wish him ill, but he brought what happened on himself. Hopefully he grows up from it, but there’s no sense wasting time and tears on a guy who wouldn’t get his act together. If he REALLY wanted to stay here, he would have gotten in line. Because he didn’t, I’m glad he’s gone. We don’t need any of that shite here anymore.

Honestly, I don't miss either guy.
And it seems that CBK and Tiger fans aren't missing them too much as well...

The world sure has changed a lot since Stingley last played good football.

McGlotherin was pushed out, so I actually feel a little bad for him.
Can anyone elaborate on that?

This is what Ricks wanted. He wanted a large NIL deal. LSU was late to the NIL game and almost lost Boutte as well to Bama.
This is very little allegiance to a team anymore. Its all about NIL

Ricks looks like he could be losing alot of money with the stunt he pulled. Could have stayed at LSU sucked it up for 1 more year. Had a good to great year and probably gone 1st or 2nd round. Now hes riding the bench looking like a cry baby , very inmature and not a team player. All the traits a NFL GM doesnt want to see. I see him being a 3rd rounder if he doesnt get going at bama.

Word around the board was Kelly booted him for missing team meetings/ being late to team meetings. Nothing villainous but Kelly needed to make an example that rules apply to everyone. Of course, that's third-hand info so take it for what it's worth.

I'd prefer to have the depth, me.

Probably about as much as Clemson fans are laughing at Mike Jones.

I never said that. I think he’s an average SEC corner. I’ve always thought he has excellent bump and run ability but he seems slow. I’ve seen several receivers run away from him. I liked him as a fifth or sixth DB coming off the bench in dime. You can find a suitable matchup for him. But put him one on one with Burton at Georgia? Good Heavens, No! And a starting corner at LSU should be able to do that.
Appreciate you trying to quote me, though.

Our back end is playing very well Brooks just added a lot to the safety room as BK just said. Fouca will play a lot and is solid.
