the kid has been amazing since before the auburn game and was suspected to be a major weapon on special teams this year against sec opponents...but now im concerned to see him STILL try and recieve punt returns inside the 10 and fumble not once but twice....what does Miles do with with this kid at this point!!!!?????

I think he was just having an off day.. he'll likely be back for Moo State.

god i hope ur right....it's just that i wish the kid would learn to disreguard the punts over his head!!!!! especially againts teams such as auburn, florida, geogia, and alabama...it's just not smart.

My humble opinion only here, but I think he was trying too hard. I think he wanted to do something spectacular and make a big play because it was a huge game on the road, and he lost focus on ball first, run second. In all honestly, I think one of those punts he should have let go into the endzone anyway.

i am. if he hits a growth spurt, it could very well slow him down some.

Those fumbles were on purpose, so other teams would punt to him and give him more opportunities to bust one.

After messing up twice in a big game, he wouldn't have the chance to do it again if I were the coach.

I agree, but remember one of those dumb plays was returned for a td.

Les isn't aways like that. If Les thinks he's ready to go and gives them the best chance to win he will play.

Same with Dalfrey, he shanked two punts two weeks ago and plays great the next week.

After rewatching the game, I don't think it was nerves or trying too hard. I actually think he had trouble tracking the ball for some reason. There didn't seem to be much wind, but on both plays, he set up where he thought the ball would be and had to make last second adjustments and that's what got him into trouble. Maybe he had trouble with the lights. Whatever it was, it was clear to me he had trouble finding the ball and was out of position because of it.

Guess Jamarcus wouldn't have been in to lead us to comebacks at Tenn and against arky.

Those were pretty lousy punt returns. Les doesn't have much patience with these kinds of things. We may not see him back there again. But I'm no coach for good reason.

I wouldn't put him back there in a critical situations, certainly not against the Georgias or Floridas of the world, again untill he proves his self again by very securely catching quite a few punts when the game isn't on the line.

I bet he's back for MSU to see which TH is the real one. Is it the guy who tries to catch the wrong punts and gets rattled under pressure or cool hand luke that will burn your arse. Big game for him this week since he's disappeared from our offense pretty much.

not really, needs to stick to kickoffs though, dont think he can handle the pressure of the punt return

Also think it has something to do with him not having great hands. At his size, they must be pretty small. Probably why we don't throw to him very much.

it's concentration. If he knows he's going to fair catch it don't take your eyes off the ball. If you're interfered with then it'll get called (hopefully). If you're inside the 10 and fair catch it then let it fall. If he's inside the 10 and thinks he can take it out then do so (see NT game). All he has to do is concentrate and if Miles has faith in him then so do I.

I am, he made absolutely zero impact at DE

Seriously though, I think he is best used for Kickoff returns.
