I think that it is great to introduce a 4yo to tiger stadium....just remember that it will be hot, noisy, and 4yo kids don't have an interest in football...so be prepared to leave very early in the game if needed. Don't try to stretch it out too long or it will become a bad experience....

This.

It's a long walk back with a crying kid.

No need to force this experience upon such a young kid. Take them when they are 8 and know curse words when they hear them, otherwise they won't fully appreciate what is happening around them.

A few things for the OP after reading this thread.

4 is not too young. Just be prepared to leave around halftime. When I started bringing my kids to games around that age. They would lose interest.

The area you're sitting shouldn't be TOO bad in terms of rowdiness. Some of the posters assume you are in the student section. Sounds like you are not.

Bring earplugs. For everyone. New scoreboard in NEZ very loud.

Don't be offended when you come back on TD next Sun and read some ranter complaining about the stadium being empty. Everyone I saw leaving yest had small kids. These are the games we bring our kids to!!

Oh. And I don't know the logistics involved in getting to West Upper from NEZ. I think it may be harder than it sounds.

Just found out that the reunion seats are in the south end zone. Is this a better crowd of people for my situation. I don't mind leaving early for my baby. Just want to feel that electric experience.

I brought my four year old yesterday and had a great time. We left right before halftime and were sitting in the north endzone.

Those early over matched opponents are perfect to bring the kids as you can leave early if needed and dont have to worry about the game

I've changed my opinion.

Rent-a-win games that start before it turns dark are ok. After daylight savings we'll all be drunker and the games will mater more.

UAB was a perfect game for a 4yr old. I just don't think the other games will be as ideal. Because of this post I was noticing kids last night. I saw kids crying in that stands and never once did I see a kid watch any part of the game.

Sure. That's what Kent State/UAB is for. Family night. Please leave that at home for SEC games.

Thanks, guys! Really looking forward to going home again to Tiger Stadium and that game experience that cannot be matched. I am bringing earbuds and an iPad. He can sit for hours with those apps and the earbuds (headphones) will help filter for his little ears. Will probably leave early. Not a problem. I really appreciate all of your input. I am a lot less apprehensive now. Allons les Tigris!
