Interior defense looks scary bad....gaping holes to run through.

That was only during the first quarter. Now they suck.

You are going to miss guys like glen Logan and Neil farrell.

I wouldn't put too much stock into a spring game though.

I do think the interior might take a little step back but you still have some very solid players. They will be fine.

They didn’t play the starters as much in the 2nd half. They showed what they could do in the 1st. Did you miss the interior being completely shut down then?

They wrecked when they were fresh. The second half was bad because, like Lombardi said,”Fatigue makes cowards of us all.”

My Jr High football coach in '70 used that exact quote at practice.

I don’t. Not with Maason Smith and Jaquelin Roy. Also Guillory backing them up.

The problem with pondering things like this is that we’re playing against our own guys. So should we be upset about our interior d-line against the run..or happy about our interior o-line play? It’s a catch-22

They ran no stunts and only 2 fronts! What do you expect. This defense will be strong!

This. BK even mentioned in his post game presser that they basically ran 1 look the entire game so it was easy for the O line.

The first half of the game they were dominating. You can tell that they played more base at the end to let the OL settle in.

Not to mention no players are game ready in spring. They build up that stamina over summer and fall.

We are very thin. And, we are weak at LB.

I'm afraid the OP is correct.

This is a 2 year rebuild at minimum.

It was practice. Relax. Our dline will almost certainly be top notch.

Our starters are great...elite. It falls off quickly. And, run defense is probably the weakness even with that group.

They shut the offense down and had several sacks in the first 4 or 5 drives and that was in their basic front. Then substitutions happened and the defense was not allowed to make in game adjustments. If you’re worried about something it should be our offensive line and secondary.

You do understand they were running only a couple of sets and very vanilla at that don't you?
