UGA needed a miracle to beat Tennessee and struggled with Austin Peay and Marshall
TAMU has struggled in every game and beat an overrated ND by a miracle (gave up 24 to UTSA and 22 to Utah St and 40 to ND)
Ole Miss beat UK by 7 points, and gave up 35 points and almost lost to Arkansas
Mizzu gave up 31 to Kansas
Tennesse gave up 44 to UGA, and 26 on a neutral site to Syracuse and 17 to FCS E Tennessee St
Vandy played South Carolina's backup QB. Without Sellers that team is trash. Old Dominion put up 45 vs VT and held them to 20 (similar to Vandy here), so while Vandy is impressive because it's Vandy, this win shows almost nothing in the grand scheme
Auburn is okay, but they struggled with South Alabama
Very impressed with Miss St, but they did give up 17 to Southern Miss. However, very impressed with them.
Arkansas has lit up some trash teams, and i also think Ole Miss has a below average defense, but i will say outside of the ints, Taylen Green has looked damn good this year.
Nobody compares to what LSU has done. I will say Miss St is most impressive and Oklahoma gives me the vibes that they could be back. Vandy will be a tough team too, but in all honesty, none of these teams would score 20 points on LSU. Run defense is too stout and secondary is too strong. Depth goes too hard as well. We had backup LBs in and Florida still couldn't do anything.

So you don’t think LSU will give up more than 20 points in a single game this year?

The amount of times that happens will be 3 or less.

You said the same shite during baseball season

Of course with more games of data, things can change, but so far, nobody other than LSU has played two decent opponents.
If you go back to 2011, LSU allowed more than 17 points only TWICE in the regular season. One was 21 points vs the #13 offense and one was 27 points vs the #3 offense (which was the first game of the year and they scored their last TD in garbage time). Both those teams won BCS Bowls as well.
We've seen this type of defense before. However we must get the run game going and I'm all for going back to the i formation for this season to win a chip.

Baseball/football comparisons are silly.
We haven’t been able to run the ball with backs since CEH. Sloan/Nuss still have issues establishing passing outside intermediate middle.
JJ has a ring here, baseball is a long season, hitting is a streaky crapshoot, and pitchers (esp bullpens) always develop over the course of a season.

I used to agree with you
The expanded playoff has made the comparison more valid
LSU could lose two games and still gel at the end of the season and win it all
OSU lost two and won it last year
It’s cute you have the biggest troll on the board’s back though

Listening to 98.1 postgame, it sounds very much in line with what is going on. The offense can't get into a rhythm and has no identity.

So you’re saying there’s a chance.

I also heard on Carter’s Power Hour, LSU first 15 scripted plays net in the lowest quadrant of the scale. Hell, if our scripted plays are crap, that speaks directly to coaching
And if you are going to refuse to run stretch runs, at least run between the tackles on the left. The right is nothing but pain.
At least we had less than 4 pass plays that netted a loss this game unlike the LA Tech game. We had 3.
The point of dink and dunk is to bait them into crowding the line of scrimmage and strike medium/long. Not to make their safeties run less.

I don’t have allegiances or grudges with individual posters my man.
Sometimes we will agree & sometimes we won’t. My point on baseball has less to do with length of season & more to do with the fact that some of these issues have been consistent year in and year out.
Run game first and foremost. Hope you’re right, but it’s a bit of a mess right now. They really need to switch it up & throw the max protect shotgun alignment in the garbage bin the rest of the year.

Here is another telling stat…out of the top 25 ranked teams, Lsu has scored the fewest points (includes scores by defense).
Posted on 9/14/25 at 9:59 pm to LSBoosie
All you need is just one 50 yard run!!! That’s it. Then your running game is great

Tiger Ryno literally just posts dumb shite, sorry I grouped you in with him. I think he’s bitter because his travel baseball team shits the bed every year
I’ll admit I’m always overly positive and obviously the offense needs a ton of work. Play calling is bad and Nuss seems like he has zero confidence.
Just hoping things will come together

You cannot win championships being completely ineffective on one side of the ball
EXACTLY!!!
For reference, see LSU 2023. Best offense in the country but lost 3 games because defense was ranked near the bottom.
Same thing now but offense and defense are reversed.

lol. GA did not struggle in their first 2 games.
They won 45-7 and sleepwalked to a 28-6 win
We may not score 28 vs Southeastern
