2023 taught me not to hit the panic button that team was a dead man walking until about a week before post season play

It can all come together that fast, it can come just as quick as it left

Definitely reasonable to be a little concerned, but I haven’t seen anything that would allow me to predict the future of this team with any real certainty one way or another

Spot on post.

It's an indication that you really don't pay attention so should not be taken seriously.

4. Pierson

It's Pearson, not Pierson. He's last on the team in conference RBIs. He's 7th on the team in total RBIs. His only base hit with RISP in SEC play was a bunt single. For the season he's batting .241 w RISP. which is worst amongst the starters. We have guys better suited to bat cleanup.

Here's another stat for you.

24-10 LSU's record this year with Pearson starting. .705 Win %
10-1 LSU's record this year when Pearson does NOT start. .909 Win %

The 2023 concerns came from the pitching side. With the pitching LSU got this past weekend, a series win should be 99/100. Even in those late-season losses, LSU was putting up runs. In that State series that had people jumping off the wagon, LSU plated 29 runs.

LSU doesn't need the entire lineup to catch fire to make a run, but they need guys like Dickinson and Milam to play up to their potential. They also have to do whatever it takes to play baseball at the box as long as possible. This team, especially the offense, has proven to struggle hitting on the road.

Oklahoma: 15 runs (a little misleading as OU waves the white flag in game 2 and LSU tees off on a position player to rack up 10 runs)
Auburn: 8 runs
Faggie: 7 runs

I believe in giving people the opportunity to correct their mistakes or prove themselves too stubborn to or incapable of editing on this site.

Let's see if you edit. If not, we can all try to guess if it is willful or a simple case of lack of ability.

I understand what he's trying to do, but I really believe that we need to return to what has worked for most of the season, both with the batting order and approach. No need to be over-reactionary in order to get certain players going offensively again and shuffling the entire lineup, removing hot hitters or inserting new players unless warranted

Focus on improving yourself not proving yourself.

The oddity of baseball to me is how certain batters hit well at specific spots in the lineup and not-so-well when you tinker with that.

A 9-hole hitter may bat .350 at that spot and you move him up to get him more at-bats and he drops to .275.

Psychology involved I guess, just like some pitchers are better as starters vs others who shine in relief. Pinch-hitters are probably the same.
