They've built Canada up so much, he has to be beyond reproach.

First I'll say this, the offense executed VERY well and Etling played about as well as anyone could ask for.

With that said, if you had polled LSU fans this time last week...I guarantee you less than 5% would have expected a 77/23 run pass ration.

It was EXTREMELY run heavy.
Even more so than 99% of les' games while at LSU

What a dishonest shill you are. First you're criticizing the offense when that goes bad you backup on it, when you're hammered about your Miles comments you backup on them now you say Canada dominated but soon will be exposed. How many sides of a mouth can one person have to talk out of?

Which was refreshing considering what we've watched the last couple years.

Probably, but anyone expecting Canada to come in here and suddenly start slinging it all over the field was greatly misinformed.

It'll be interesting to see what our ratio is at the end of the year as the playbook opens up more and by running some of the plays set-up by other calls.

Of course there will.

But, what's your point?

The truth is we didn't do anything different last night. Pre snap was a bunch of fluff that people are pointing too. We simply ran the ball 76% of plays

The running game was radically different. Under Les and Cam you knew who was getting the ball, and where they were running, a half second before the transfer. Under Canada you don't know until a half second after the handoff.

That has been the complaint for years though. Hell just a few days ago O said we would have a 50/50 ratio lol. Last night wouldve been a good opportunity to work on the passing game.

We threw nothing over the middle...much like a les miles offense.

We did throw one to Moreau in the middle, he dropped it of course.

Lsu fans want to believe the offense is a 180 so much that madking is getting upvotes

It's going to be very run heavy, especially against Bama. Unless you have a fabulous athlete at QB Bama will destroy a 50-50 run-pass game plan. They'll blitz over and over and hit the QB hard even after the throw. That's what beat Oklahoma in 2003, beat Mett in 2013, effectively ended JLee's career in 2011, and destroyed FSU yesterday.

To beat Bama we have to run 65% of the time and be quick and efficient when we pass. If we can get 280 yards and 13 points our defense will win it. If we try to throw half the time we can kiss Etling goodbye.

As a season ticket holder I've sat thru some miserable years of football.Last night actually went better than I expected honestly. While there were some plays called that had me scratching my head all in all it was a well called game. It was a 1st game under a new OC and we had a bunch of young guys out there as well.

So seriously , don't be a miserable frickwad and try to enjoy football season.

You think what we ran last night in terms of misdirection is the same as what Les ran?

hell no. i laid it out earlier in postings.

oh wait...you mean somebody once again thinks all runs, run locations, blocking schemes, d fronts, decoys, motion, etc is all the same? same as les ran?

Last night, our red zone offense was putrid; the play calling was poor and the execution worse.

If the point is trying to score TD's how can anyone argue that the RZ play calls and execution were satisfactory, much less good or great?

I'm not saying it's panic time but it wasn't good.

we have plenty to work on for sure. canada was not going to run pick plays on the goal line like clemson against bama this game. It just was not happening.
