We would have been all over the former coaches about this. Why are we giving the new coaches such a big break?

Is it against board rules to call someone an ignorant frick and tell them to frick off? Just asking....a friend wants to know/

First game of the season.
Installed a new offense
Shutout somewhat legitimate opponent. Shutouts are always difficult. Even small schools usually get points

My take was Guice didn't need to play the 2nd half, 1st half was very physical. Other than that looked very vanilla with typical 1st game mistakes. Funny how the D with all the new guys had few penalty calls.

I mean the res zone offense is definitely an area for improvement.

But if you didn't notice a different offense last than what we've seen under Les, then you aren't paying attention.

The game we played last night will beat 11 teams in our schedule. And the only reason it won't beat all 12 is because of the talent gap in their front 7comoared to our o line. And that's not something coach O or Canada can do anything about this year. It all comes down to o line recruiting.

It was the first game though man. They will improve. Once everyone gets more comfortable this offense could be very good. All we need is etling to be efficient, and he was just that

It's just hard to believe how poor our red zone offense was. Canada is supposed to be such an amazing offensive coordinator.

No. You're just LOOKING to complain about something because that's what people like you do. There HAS to be something to blame the coaches on this board, regardless of the outcome.

I don't know why I expect anything different out of this board.

Bottom line is the team did exactly what it needed to do to secure a solid victory. Could it have been better and were some points left on the board sure. I will never complain about a 27 point shutout.

I'm ready to move on. Just hope it was first game kinks. Can't afford those stupid mistakes on offense against better squads. They got better though. But if you try to get cute and start getting delay of game and formation penalties against the sec squads, you might find yourself in a hole your offense won't be able to get out of.

First game of a new offense bro. Y'all need to realize that this situation is much different then a 4 year coach doing the same things. It's not the same.

The takeaway last night should be that Etling was consistently put in a good situation and consistently delivered. That is by far the most promising part of the night.

LOL, 27 points with that kind of offensive output? We should have easily scored 45. Just pointing out the truth.

10 drives, 1 punt, no TO and dominated time of possession. Throw in a missed chip shot fg should be 30 points.
Wtf else do you want ? Go watch Oregon play or wait till October for basketball if you want to see 70 points a game

Stick to the OP; the red zone offense last night was terrible. It needs to be significantly better, or we have a huge problem.

I wanted Miles fired long before it happened. No Miles supporter here.

You guys are hilarious.
