I’ve seen enough good this weekend.
Power arms will always play
Gonna look at the numbers but little too much swing & miss. If they push the walks I can deal with it but need some of these guys to be tougher outs. Dugas, bianco, Gio.
There’s enough options there it will correct itself
Hughes is an issue at SS if he can’t make plays expected of an LSU SS
I’ve seen enough good this weekend.

I’d sacrifice a few more base hits for someone who can do better than 1 hit per series. If there’s no one on the roster that can play passable defense at SS and hit better than .174, that’s Mainieri’s fault.

Can’t disagree with any of this. If a guy like Dugas or Bianco could show something at the plate, I’d be all aboard sitting Hughes and playing Mathis at SS, Doughty at 3B, and either Dugas/Bianco at 2b. Especially if Hughes isn’t going to make the plays in the field that he needs to make.
That said, no one else is stepping up.
