The stength of their team is in their great running game and it will benefit us to be completely prepared for the great matchup this will be.

Well, uh, uh, I like our chances and if we hadn't gotten outscored in five games this year, we'd be undefeated.

There has been some mis-information, and I think it imperative that I start off today addressing the message boards etc.

Over the course of the last 13 days, I can promise you, we have it 'Fixed' in all 3 phases, offense, defense, special teams, and we very capable of taking our very talented football team and demonstrating in the Bowl Game that we are in fact a damn strong football team. The GT Triple Option is Pop Werner, Capable, but not against our fix.

It's unfortunate that I have to address this issue with my team this morning, but I am the coach of LSU. And I will be the coach of LSU. I have a game to play with you the media, there will be no questions.

You know the ending, we have been here before (demonstrative hand motion)...a wink and heads out to recruit

Tell us what you think about the upcoming bowl game
We expect to play well.
We are facing a quality opponent.
We enjoy contact, practice will certainly have that feel.
There's a piece of that, certainly, that will be used in the game.
Our Seniors will enjoy the game, enjoy the preparation, and enjoy the feel of victory.
Our coaches will prepare the way they always prepare, with the expectation of victory, and the resolve to do better.

We look forward to the opportunity we have in playing ahhhh, a quality opponent. I think that our guys will have an interest in playing tough football. We feel good about our opportunity to represent this university, and the state of Louisiana in this ahhh, ahhh, quality bowl game. To my understanding no team is better than us at kickoff. We are still undefeated on kickoffs. Excuse me... WAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOO! Have a great day.

'Coach what will you need to do to be successful against Paul Johnson and that triple option of GT?'

Let 'er rip!

First of all, I want to thank the folks at Chick Fil A for inviting us. I enjoy the opportunity to compete on such a stage, and I suspect that there will be great opportunity for milkshakes... uhh victory... once we get there.

This football team is hurting right now. I expect it to compete hard. There's a really sincere want amongst the seniors to go out with a bang. We've had some struggles, but we'll get it coached. There's a sincere want to improve and I expect to see it when we take the field in Atlanta.

Our opponent is very capable, and I expect extremely sincere contact on both sides of the line of scrimmage. There's a real want on their side to both run the ball and stop the run. Coach Johnson is a quality coach and he enjoys the opportunity to play championship football.

As far as any changes, first of all I won't speculate on it. Firstly, it's not fair to the coaches. It's not fair to their families either. Those coaches have shown the wherewithal to put our players in position to make plays, and I expect that's what we'll see in Atlanta. Like the whole team, I certainly expect them to represent LSU and the state of Louisiana.

Uh, there's been some misinformation on The Rant and I think it's imperative that I straighten it out...uhm, I uh, Doug and Brad are the defensive coordinators at LSU, they will be the defensive coordinators at LSU, I have no interest in talking to anybody else about the defensive coordinator job at LSU. I've got a Non-BCS Peach Bowl to play and I'm excited about the opportunity of my damn strong football team to play in it, and it's really all I'd like to say. It's unfortunate that I had to address my team, uh, with this information, uh, with that being done, uh, I think we'll be ready to play. Ther will be no changes made by me, I represent the ultimate decision regading this defensive coordinator situation. Please ask me after next season. I'm busy. Thank you very much. Have a great day.

ya know....Let me say this.... (looking up)....we we we've been through..... we've experienced some challenges this year.... and I think we've responded...(looking left)...don't don't.... don't count this team out, okay...(looking forward) there are some things that need addressed and we've, we're going to address those ... things and we, there's not going to ... lemme tell you there's no quit in this team. We will do what we...we will take the field with our heads high, and we have ... there's a lot to work with next year, we will do.... what we have to do to get that done.

Nick Saban:
"They were consistent with all the things necessary relative to opening cans that can be used relative to whooping arse. Aaight? Our job now as a team and an organization is to get our hands on some of these cans. Aaight? The type of cans that will be able to make us successful as an organization and in life."

Les Miles:
"We, ah, need to concentrate on three types of cans that can, uh, be opened up here. Those on offense, those on defense, and those on special teams. If we open up the cans in all three phases, I like our chances."
