Plenty people have met me in person and I have told people my name. I have gone to Chicken sponsored events a few times over the years. I may be a bitch in your eyes but anonymous I am not.

How's it feel to be an igmo?

Les had by far the most such seasons with 5 (Most in LSU history, in fact)

And yet people continue to drag him through the mud. LSU fans are just the best.

That wasn’t true before 2000, but it certainly is true now.
Hmmm, so tRant whipping boy that started his LSU tenure with 13 commits somehow owns 5/7 of those 2L seasons since 2000.
LSU might be considered a powerhouse, but tRant collective opinion should probably be ignored.

. It was a little bit of an eye-opener. LSU been everything except consistently very good. 2001-2011 was, by far the best, most consistent stretch of very good football in the 133 year history.

Just some perspective.

This isn't really perspective without comparison. Through my exhaustive research in the past 5 minutes, I believe there are only about 6 teams with more 2 or less loss seasons (in the last 60 years)

OSU, Michigan, Bama, Nebraska, USC, and Oklahoma.

Gemini told me 19 (not 12) for LSU in the last 60 years though.
2019, 1969, 1971, 2003, 2011, 1966, 1968, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1987, 1996, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2017.

I think you're getting some bad re-con.

1971 - we lost to Colorado, OM, Bama
1974 - we went 5-5-1
1976 - we went 7-3-1 (we lost to state but that was later changed for reasons I do not recall).
2002 - lost to Va Tech, Auburn, Bama, and Arky, UTX
2008 - we went 8-5 (lost UF, UGA, Bama, OM, Ark)
2017 - lost to State, Troy, Bama, ND

Exactly. We have the bluest blood of all non blue bloods. We should be inducted next time they do such things??? lol.

7th best program (arguably much higher by other metrics) in the last 60 years is pretty damn good. Don't tell me how inconsistent we've been (even if you're generally right).

Didn't LSU finish 6-6 during Orgeron's tenure?

I'm sure you're right. I trust you more than Gemini. I'm just betting the curve stays the same with lower totals across the board.

Meaning 6 "Blue Bloods" and 5 or 6 programs right behind those guys with LSU arguably being the best of that bunch.

So yes. we've been inconsistent. but very few programs have more sustained winning.

Most of us acquired 'Les fatigue' because we saw us play with one hand tied behind our back season after season. His run of the OP's criteria ended in 2011 and yet he coached on into 2016. It was time. If you think that's dragging him through the mud, your perspective.

Here's his last five seasons:
2012 10-3
2013 10-3
2014 8-5
2015 9-3
2016 2-2 when fired

The expectations at LSU are ridiculously too high

And yet...

LSU only trails Alabama and Oklahoma in national championships.

LSU has losing records to only Alabama, Tennessee and Texas - and could even up the series with Texas next season.

LSU has consistently been in the top 10% of CFB teams for overall win percent.

We’ve been a mid tier SEC team for decades. We had 2 good runs in the 2000’s and 2010’s.

Interesting that you're choosing to be one now by ignoring the point of the post and focusing on a p. Thanks for the info, but I don't give a frick. I'm going to keep calling him Arnsbarger on the rare occasions that his name pops up.

As long as McClendon enters into the discussion, include his entire career as LSU coach, not just a part of it.
