Burrow and Daniels got better as their 1st year went on. Nussmeir had regressed. He's just a thrower. He's a very good college qb but is not close to being a next level qb. His decision making is horrible. Throws into coverage all the time. Isn't accurate downfield. All thinks Daniels and Burrow weren't.

He won't get drafted so he's back next year. Thats why the #1 qb recruit is backing off LSU. He knows Nussmeir will be the qb next year.

Nope ! Not a leader snd very immature . Minimal contact and gets up limping to draw attention to his special self . Too many INTs , forcing the ball , refusal to run . Completely retarded play . Ist round pick ? Maybe for the Saints !! LOL !!

There are ways to say he can improve without comparing him to Burrow and Daniels every time someone says something about him.

I was responding to someone who brought that up. The comparisons are natural for a lot of folks. as is hyperbole a lot of times. I would prefer more measure conversations but that does not happen here often. Except with you and me Less.

I trust that he will lead us to at least another loss because he won’t run and likes to lob the ball into a defender in LSU territory

“ He would have to cut his picks in half for the year most likely. He’s too dangerous with the ball, I think that’s just him and it’s not changing”

He’s been at LSU 4 yrs now.

Good qb, but he’s no Joe or Jayden

Yeah and his receivers are not Chase, Jefferson, Nabers, nor Thomas.
Seven starts, no running game, and you know he is a bust.
I remember your brother declaring, pre 19 season, Joe was over rated. He said the A&M QB, Kellen Mond was a better QB.

That 53% completion percentage and 7/6 TD/INT ratio in conference play ain’t gonna cut it. Next.

It’s year one as being the starter, our last two Heisman winners did not look the part in year one either per se. Let’s just relax and see how this book ends.

That's hilarious. Nuss is a wildcard.

I don’t really trust him to not fricking panic and carelessly chunk the ball up to the other team. People just casually look over the fact that he should’ve turned the ball over 3 times in the first half against Arkansas as well.

He’s not a gunslinger, he’s a panicker

Drop balls did not cost LSU that game

I didn’t say they did, dumbshit. I said the dropped balls AND THE REST OF THE POINTS WE LEFT ON THE FIELD IN THE FIRST HALF.

NO DELLINGER this Saturday!

Bama gonna send pressure all night right through the "Wet Toilet Paper Weak" middle of the OL (Mubenga Chester Frazier ) and pressure Nuss into mistakes. That's the game right there.

The Defense better play their game of the year.

Will be worse for LSU if it's raining and we can't throw it.

Raining. NO GD. Bama pressure on GN. Will the Tigers even score?

All that being said, I HATE AlaFRICKINGbama from a rivalry I had with my uncle growing up.

He was big Bama Supporter that lived in Tuscaloosa and personally knew Bear Byant.

He would get us tickets to the.LSU-Bama game every year in Tiger Stadium.

The seats were always right next to the MDB and they always won, so I grew up listening to that Alabama Fight Song and Rammer Jammer after they kicked our arse in Tiger Stadium.

I didn't get to see LSU finally beat Bama until the 1982 20-10 win in Birmingham while a GBFTL member.

To this day, I hate hearing that "Yea Alabama" fight song and "Rammer Jammer." They both make me nauseaous.

He had a bad game which skews the numbers. He has also played against a tougher schedule in conference than most sec qbs....especially on the D side of the ball, playing @SC, @A&M, and vs OM. That is a pretty tough gauntlet, and you might want to check out other SEC QBs against top competition. I believe his QB rating against Top 25 teams is 3rd in the league, with Milroe at 136, Ewers and 130, and Nuss at 126. Of course, those guys have multiple years of experience starting, and have a higher % of interceptions per pass attempt than Nuss has. Jason Dart leads the league in overall QB rating, but when you look at him vs top 25, he stands at 117.

But, go ahead and keep on bashing the first year starter.
