Stop reading here. You do know that there will be more to this game then just LSU's offense vs Miami's defense right?

Thing is y’all are replacing like all but 4 starters on defense. Yes y’all are very talented on defense but that doesn’t mean Miami’s isn’t on defense either and The U’s defense overall have more experience and production
LOL wut? Don't come into the conversation if you can't even intelligently speak on the subject

Son of a coach, film rat, looking at defenses, breaking them down and knowing exactly where to put the ball and pick apart a defense. All the great students of the game have done that in college and in the pros. Brady, Brees, Montana, Manning. Burrow is not on their level pro wise yet but college wise, yes.
In OSU practice with the second string offense, he was picking apart the first string defense of OSU. He was embarrassing their starting db's.
When you have a high football intelligence level and can break down and pick apart defenses, you are going to be successful. There is a reason he was 65% passer in high school and 70% passer in his limited duty in college.
When you are able to reconize the defense and know who needs to get the ball in the defense that you see, you can understand why his accuracy is so high. It is not so much threading the needle as it is delivering the ball to the open man. When you can recognize and break down a defense, majority of your throws will be easy throws and increase your accuracy.
A lot of people look at accuracy as being the only reason for high completion %. That is part of it. The other part that plays a factor is recognizing the defense and finding the open man for an easy throw. That seriously bumps up your completion %. Burrow rates off the charts in that aspect of his game.
If that happens in the Miami game, it is going to get really ugly for you guys and that is what i would be the most concerned with. If Burrow struggles in that aspect, then it will be a very close game. I wouldn't count on the latter.

As opposed to a guy a guy with you know actual experience...
You either have a qb that is intelligent that can look at a defense, break it down and already know who is going to be open and to pass the ball to and then there is Rosier........ Experience does not make a difference if your football IQ is low.
You either have the Football IQ or you dont. It is that simple. Not everyone can be rocket scientists.

Our's is worst though
It's not as bad as people assume. Yes its Troy, but the did have the #11 scoring defense and #24 overall last year

Va tech had the 12 defense in the country last year and he had over 200 yards passing 85 yards rushing 3 tds.
They played only 4 ranked teams all last year and only beat one, #22 West Virginia at the time and they finished ranked #54 in the country. So basically Va Tech good defense was inflated stats against creampuffs. Next........

Leading 2 tds scoring drives vs Georgia tech late in the 4th (by the way Miami was without 5 Starters in that game)in a monsoon basically it was pouring at the stadium
Ga Tech finished with a record of 5-6 good enough for 83rd out of 130 schools. They played 5 ranked teams and beat only one. That would be Va Tech lol. Next........
quote:
2 late scoring tds vs FSU and finished the game hot vs an elite FSU defense that had 3 5 stars in the secondary 3 more other ones in the front 7 And he did it WITHOUT our star receiver Ahmmon Richards and starting running back mark Walton on the field in the 4th quarter. Also came back va uva too late in the season.
Fla St finished 7-6, played only 3 ranked teams all year long and lost against all 3.
So basically, he shined against bad teams. I still stand by my assertion that he chokes against really good defenses.

Take all the shots you like at Rosier, but to place your fortunes at the feet of a guy who had to transfer due to the fact he couldn't win the job is much more suspect.
I guess we'll see Sunday, good luck!

Who really cares about your analysis. At about 10pm Sunday night we will know what team is the real deal. The pressure is on Miami. Ranked 8th, high expectations, favored, finished 0-3 last three games last year. We are the underdogs, we know what we have in Tiger Town, everyone says we are a pretender not a contender, LSU is backed in the corner with a nasty defense which is not good news for Miami.. LSU wins going away. Not even close.

what we do know is your QB cracks when faced with a solid defense......this LSU defense is special. He will not have a good game. Likewise, ours may not, but we still have an unknown that may actually pan out.
Posted on 8/30/18 at 3:51 pm to 4Canes
Burrow does not have to win this game by himself. We ride the defense and a ground and pound run game. Get caught sleeping and our WRs will torch Miami's secondary.
