You failed to mention all of his off field shenanigans to pair with his sub par coaching staff the last two years. Nothing is going to change by keeping him around. He acquires talent but what good is that if he can't utilize it? 2019 was the outlier. 2017, 2020, 2021 are much better indicators for what you'll get with him.

No respect for Ed as our HC and less for those who defend him.

He has chosen and fired multiple coordinators. Not a defense.

Kinda what happens when your head coach isn’t an expert on either side of the ball and therefore doesn’t have his philosophy to implement and bases his strategy on just hiring the best coordinators. Best case scenario you have a great season and coordinators move up to better jobs, worst case you have a sub par season and you’re firing and hiring. Either way it’s a revolving door of personnel pretty much every year and very little continuity.

I’m not sure what’s worse, your stupid post or that there are 11 other retards out there that upvoted it

I don't really care. A lot of this is valid excuses but the reality is he will never be a good HC here. It's more evident now than ever even if you already knew it. I don't want a HC tied to how good his hires are. I want a HC who can at least have an identity on his specialty and be reliable on that part of the ball like Kiffin is a genius OC. What is O's specialty? Rah rah on the sideline? it sure as hell hasn't been his DL since he has been here. He also has made at least 90% bad hires with his tenures here and has made similar personnel problems he did at Ole Miss wrecking our program currently. Sorry but he has to go.
Same issue at Ole Miss where his recruiting has been incredibly overrated at LSU evident by the lack of development and massively overlooking major holes in certain position groups like OL/LB.

What has kiffin ever won? Would score a bit more points but lose 3/4 games every year and you know it.
You guys want a change just for the excitement of it but there isn’t a much better option out there right now.

What did Saban win before he got to LSU?
Never won the big 10.

Would Saban have gotten fired from usc?? No would have been the greatest dynasty of all time.
Saban owns anyone we’d hire. Especially kiffin, a proven failure as a HC.

Not when he was 35
Kiffin didn’t even have a losing season at USC while they were heavily sanctioned.
I’m gonna say this: every coach would have a better record at LSU than they would at 90% of other schools including Ole Miss and USC.

You serious Clark?
Maybe you should re read

Didn’t even read, just downvoted since I’m in a piling on kinda mood.
ETA: ok now I did read it but stopped here:
Stop with this fricking lie. This is one of the most veteran teams we’ve had in years. The QB is young. That doesn’t mean the team is. This bullshite excuse is so stupid.

I agree with OP there have been many challenges...
But all programs deal with turnover...injuries, opt outs etc
LSU does seem to have more than other programs...we have this NFL or bust culture in CFB...Saban deals with it the best.
Coach O has some great qualities...
But the adversity has exposed his weaknesses as a coach and leader.
Results are tied to 7 million salary.

This is all true and a lot of teams are in chaos like A&M and Clemson, but the OC and DC hires were far from elite. They were middling to below avg. for a SEC team that normally finishes in the top 4 in conf. for the past 20 yrs.

I know what happened and it wasn't that
