I thought LSU did decent considering they had a young QB and substandard OL. The upside of the 2010 team is much higher.

I knew he wasn't good enough, and I was right. He isn't good enough for LSU.

If LSU is shelling out $4,000,000 a year, it should get an elite coach. LSU is wasting millions.

Liar...... Bet you didn't say this on January 4th of 2007.....

fwiw Less made about 1.25 mil in 2007....

as XIV already said, we paid 1.25 mil for a NC, and the last two years we've paid nearly 4 mil a year for a .500 sec record.. yeah, we're gettin our moneys worth out of Less...

What did you see coming? Are you one of the people calling for a 6-6 record next year?

No. I wish we would go 12-0, but I think we will again be anywhere from 7-5 to 9-3... fire another assistant or two and another year with Less...

8-4 is what I am predicting. still :meh: With the mega class that Louisiana has next year, it has me worried some.

I'm expecting 10-2, IMO 9-3 would intensify the grumbling over his job, even among his most loyal supporters, such as myself. 11-1 would obviously make for a fantastic season given the schedule this year and would put us in the driver's seat for the BCS.

You have loud mouth, team bashing jerk who claims to know what is going to happen before it happens all over your comments, Mr. Mediocre.

It's not hard to get a handle on your kind of mediocre LSU fan.

Look people you should drop the Cholly Mac era comparisons because with the current CFB rules no team is going to dominate like Alabama did during those times. They simply piled up the field, the sidelines, and the stands with all the best players in the region. While other teams were gassed Bama was substituting an All American with one that hadn't played a down yet.

No team in recent years has dominated recruiting more than USC and exactly how many BCS trophies do they have? LSU will be fine with the current staff in place. You need look no further than the 2009, 2010 and 2011 recruiting classes for your answer.

For those expecting to see Alabama dominate like the days of old every year you need to step away from the ledge. The same applies for Florida. Florida will be struggling to play on a New Year's bowl this year after replacing nearly their entire defense and Tebow.

The modern game runs in cycles and if 2008 and 2009 were our down cycle I will gladly take it. LSU fans should absolutely positively not want the disruption a coaching change involves. Look no further than the gaps in our 2008 and 2009 teams from poor recruiting during the HC transition to see what can happen.

Most excellent post, dude! Party on.
