definitely an underwhelming hire at the time, but i was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt
my feelings changed throughout his first couple years but have returned to the initial "meh"

no, you want to know who other than saban has won a title at lsu
no brah, I was trying to find out who would have fit the description of someone who is "wired to lead the LSU nation". Don't go assuming brah.

youre trying to make a point that miles is worth a damn, when the only point youre making is that lsu has always had medium grade coaches
once, again, no. If LSU decides it is time for Les to go, the goodbye Les. I won't lose another nights sleep. All I wanted to know, again, is WHO would be "wired to lead the LSU nation".

because we have a history of mediocre coaches, i said this already
les is mediocre also, he just so happened to be here during the golden age of talent...dinardo, archer, whoever else would have won in 06-07 too

Because he's the luckiest fricker ever. No one else won the national title with 2 losses.

Actually, Minnesota won one of the ones our Ole Miss friends claim in 1960. They were 8-2.

I think coaches should be paid at the end of the year.
and the amount mirrors the team's record/achievement

lets break down why we won each title
1958: idk, i guess we were the best team
2003: great coach, best defense in the country, strong running game
2007: good offense, ok defense, lucky it was a really, really weird year in cfb
saying anyone can win a title is hyperbole, but its not crazy to say we can compete for titles with even a competent coach

I wasnt too thrilled he had to win me over and was ready to go nuts after that tennessee game, but was happy after 11-2 11-2 12-2 with nc....
Last two seasons not so much, hes got to win me over again...
One thing I have noticed is how much people talk about our close wins in 2009, almost like theyre losses... One thing with miles he always won games like that here even in the years we went 11-2 11-2 and 12-2, there were several close games we could have lost...

how many coaches in the history of college football haven't had two seasons like the last two?
