QB projections are generally terribleX
there are more guys who can “make every throw” than guys who can make every throw and know where to throw it.
Teams seem to think they can coach the latter even with all of history indicating they cannot.

Joe Burrow is smart, acccurate and cool under pressure.
he made that OL look incredibly good.
In 2019.
In 2018 he lost the Florida game with two INTs at the end.

I was replying to a post that said Nuss would be undefeated or maybe have 1 loss if you put him on the 2019 team.
So 2018 is irrelevant.

26 of the current starting QBs in the NFL were 1st round picks

Lol no he’s not. You need to look at the latest draft predictions.
draft buzz
draft wire
pro football network
ESPN has him 6th but it's an ESPN+ article so I can't link it.
Those are the top results when you google "2025 QB draft rankings" and all written within the last week.
Next.

Some of our fan base is truly mentally retarded. Nuss sucks.

O I agree, I'm not making the case he should be one of the top 5 QBs, I'm simply stating that is where is projected. Simply shooting down a "yall are retarded if yall think he is getting drafted he wouldn't start for FBS teams" take.

There's still more 1st round QBs who have completely busted, and more than a few current starters are starting because they were drafted in the 1st round or they're backups playing for a hurt starter (Anthony Richardson, Jameis Winston, Bryce Young. Mac Jones, Drake Maye, Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold)

1. Currently starting in the NFL doesn’t mean you’re good. In most cases it means an NFL has invested highly in you.
2. that’s 26 starting QBs with the older having been drafted in 2005. 60 QBs have been taken in the 1st since 2005 when Aaron Rogers was drafted.

And he is a statue back there
Again, this is so amazingly wrong. He has very good movement in the pocket, which is why before last week we had only given up 6 sacks in 9 games. He moves up in the pocket very well and throws on the run very well. He just is ALWAYS looking to throw, often to the teams detriment. He needs to take the free 5-10 yards that is routinely there when he escapes the pocket rather than oftentimes forcing a difficult throw.

It starts and stops with the QB. Nuss is great when he isn’t pressured. When he’s pressured, the wheels come off and he reverts back to playing as a kid and just throwing it up. You live by the QB and die by the QB.

There are only 32 spots and almost all are 1st round picks no matter how you spin it
Posted on 11/21/24 at 3:57 pm to Madking
Again, and it took them 60 chances and 19 years to fill those spots and half of them are still garbage.
the argument isn’t that 1st round QBs don’t play.
It’s that Scouts routinely get things wrong.
Young and Richardson are evidence of that even though they’re starting.

He has made some really great plays, but I can’t for the life of me understand the reliance on that spin move out of the pocket from a QB coach’s son.

There’s a finite amount of guys to draft per year. You could say the position is overvalued and they reach at some but there’s no argument that the better ones are correctly rated higher as prospects.

I thinn you’re mostly right.
I think they’ve gotten too into drafting traits and thinking they can fix everything else.
Richardson sucked, and he top 5.
the best draft class they’ve had in a decade was also probably just the most talented year for QBs in a decade. 2020 Draft.
they arguably hit on their first 5 picks, but those guys were also all good in college with only Love being a sort of a stretch.
