I think the most impressive part to me was the inning with the bloop hit in between the mound and first, followed by the bloop hit to left. Most pitchers get frustrated and lose it after that. And thats two weeks in a row of being in a situation like that and getting out of it with no runs. That mental toughness is rare. Having he and walker with that trait is special.

I thought once you enrolled in a four year college you had to play a minimum of 3 years? Please explain the details on this if you don’t mind.

He just doesn't give me the impression of someone who will declare early for the draft.

Baseball players don't declare for the draft. They can be drafted and then decide they don't like their number and stay in school.

These thread leads me to believe that we have a lot of fans that don't follow baseball or just started this year.

Those types were out in full force AT the two games yesterday.

One guy in front of me kept displaying his ignorance about the rules even to the point of yelling "Infield fly rule!" one time when TAM had runners on second and third and there was a popup in the infield.
Another guy behind me kept asking out loud who was coming to bat next until I told him the new scoreboard shows the batting order for both teams and the current batter or the next batter in the next inning has a yellow box around his name. He said, "Oh, I didn't know that."

I like to call that confidently wrong.

The first guy is dumb but I’d cut the second guy a break since the scoreboard is new. You know what they say about old dogs and tricks. He just wasn’t accustomed to looking at the scoreboard for the batting order.

Similar to gausman, one of the primary reasons he chose college was that he'd only have to be there 2 years.

Well, we've played 23 home games so far so the scoreboard is "new" only because this is its first season.

It was obvious this was his first game to attend this season, which was my point in replying to the poster.
